Why Stand with Israel

This article below is written by Jack Hayford, co-founder of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ).

As this year’s DPPJ is but a few days away, I encourage you to read this important article on why we, as Christians, need to pray for and stand with Israel. More than political, this is one most crucial Scriptural and Spiritual issue. If you love God, you must know the heart of God not only for yourself and your Church but for Israel through whom He chose to reveal His plans and purposes for the whole human race. Our identity as believers, our purpose and calling revolve around the will of Him who created all things and all peoples.

Why-Stand-with-Israel

By Jack Hayford

Israel is a land about which G-d says – uniquely, prophetically, redemptively, and repeatedly in the Bible – “This is Mine.” G-d refers to Israel as He does to no other land on Earth. Israel was raised up to be a light to the Gentiles.

The Church at its inception was virtually entirely Jewish, and it remained so until the Gospel began to spread. Ultimately, the Gospel spread to Antioch – where the first Gentile congregation began – the base from which the Gospel spread into all the world.

In the book of Romans, chapters 9 through 11, the Apostle Paul deals with the question of the Jews in G-d’s providence and purpose. These three chapters virtually stand alone, within the whole of the Bible, as an elaboration of the theology of G-d’s dealing with Jews. The Jews were the “first fruit” … the “first people” (through Abraham) to understand a covenant G-d. They then relayed the riches of that truth to the world, and through their agency, the Messiah came into the world. The Word of G-d calls Jews the “root” and Gentiles the “branches.” We’re reminded that while “because of unbelief, some of them were broken off and you stand by faith,” we are not to become haughty but to fear: “For if G-d did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” When the fullness of the Gentiles is completed, “all Israel will be saved.” (ch. 11:16-27)

We are living in a sobering moment in history that calls us, as believers in Jesus Christ, to take a stand with Israel. We could be people of the last hours. We are not to be passive in the face of prophecy; we are called to pray with passion, to intercede, and to minister according to the words of the Savior who said it is not our task to speculate when the end will be. It is our responsibility to do Kingdom business until He comes (Luke 19:13).

This is not about politics, this is about the Word of G-d… but the political ramifications are extremely dramatic. Scripture declares there will come a time when all the nations of the world will turn against Israel. It is so highly conceivable this could happen in our time that it is crucial to outline why we should stand with Israel today.

Lesson Learned

I met a sister in Christ yesterday during a small group meeting (there were only 4 of us). As I haven’t been in Church for a while, hibernating for personal reasons, the two younger ladies and I met for the first time. One is in a very difficult moment in her life. Though her story is different, I could well identify with her as I went through similar instances in my Christian journey. I say instances because I realized that I went through different heartbreaking situations three times in the past. It is in the third experience that I learned my lesson and became who I am now in Christ.

To suffer from feelings of rejection and abandonment with the nagging feelings of guilt and condemnation is never easy. As I spoke to the younger woman who listened intently, I could see her eyes on the verge of tears every time a word hit home. I could see myself in her. I was in her shoes and so I knew what it felt like when someone spoke a word of hope no matter how simple. I remember well how a brother’s pat on my back with a simple, “How are you?” actually brought me to tears. That was over two decades ago and yet I could never forget it.

Wish I could say that after the experience I became wiser and stronger. Unfortunately, no, because if I did, then I would not have fallen into another heartache which became my worst nightmare. But praise God, I finally learned my lesson.

As I was giving advice to the young lady through text messages, I could see myself again trying to hold to the people whom the Lord brought to me to comfort me. I remember hanging on to those handful of brethren which made me feel ashamed for bothering them with my almost never-ending pity party; and this is what this young lady was telling me in her response. This then reminded me how I actually turned around to start my journey to healing. It was one simple step but looking back, that was the most significant step I made that brought me to where I am now.

I remember around 9 years ago telling the brothers and sisters who went their way to meet me for the nth time just to listen to me, that I’ve had enough; that I no longer want the devil to have his way and I didn’t want to be in the defensive anymore; that I would rise up in the Lord and face him squarely and turn the table against him.

The fight was long and hard like taking two steps forward and one step backward, but by His grace, I kept on. The issue didn’t change overnight, nor in a week or a month or even a year after, and not even today. But I have won because I have come to know and learned to fully trust the One who loves me and died for me that I am not anymore easily moved by whatever happens around me regardless of who accepts or rejects me. I found myself and value in Christ.

While the Lord truly uses people to help us through the difficult times (and He didn’t stop sending friends my way), and I am forever grateful to everyone who each played a role in the course of my healing, it is still Yahweh who ultimately delivered me from the pit.

The lesson I learned is summed up in this thought which the Lord gave me three days ago. I didn’t realize the value of the statement then when I posted it on FB but now I know.

Don’t depend on anyone for no one is absolutely dependable; don’t look for happiness in someone for everyone is bound to fail you in the long run. Stand on your own feet but make sure you are standing on the unshakable Rock, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, the eternally reliable, dependable and trustworthy God and Lord. He alone can hold you and lead you securely unto eternity.

Thus says the Lord:

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

The Palestinian Narrative

Three nights ago, June 27, I had a dream. I was in a small village which seems like one of the villages in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank. It was a school setting and I was in a classroom of Palestinian kids, listening and observing. The teacher was telling a story, reading it from a text book. It was a story about one of Israel’s heroes in the Bible but it was presented like the Palestinians own the story, that the hero was one of their own and that it was from the Quran. I said, “That’s not correct, that’s twisting the Bible. So, that’s how they make Israel look like the villain; that’s why they call Israel an occupier.” Then I heard, “That’s the Palestinian narrative.”

This dream is another lesson straight from the heart of the Father concerning Israel. I have been a recipient of messages like this since He walked me through the role of a watchman for Israel. I have not bothered to understand what “Palestinian Narrative” means albeit encountering the phrase a few times in the media. So, what I have is a general idea, but the dream had me researching what it really is, just as I did with the BDS movement and Intifada. What I learned is an eye-opener because it seems that all the negative stories that the mainstream media, the UN and all anti-Israel advocates tell the world hinge on this so-called “Palestinian Narrative.”

Please note that I am neither writing as a political expert nor for a political purpose although to the average man, this topic is primarily political. For intercessors like me, however, the heart of the matter is spiritual.

Israel is not like any other nation. It is the Land that Yahweh called His own. Proof is all over the Scriptures unless you don’t believe that His Word has not changed. This dream is His confirmation that Israel today is the same Israel that we read in our Bibles. The conflict has existed for thousands of years since the first time Israel became a nation in the land that Yahweh promised to give to Abraham’s descendants, was destroyed and the people scattered, and in our generation, re-established and the people re-gathered. Until the return of the Messiah, Israel will continue to be at the heart of world-conflict.

Again, the purpose of this message is not to advocate politically although I understand that taking a political side is a normal consequence for standing with the truth since Israel is a grand political issue in the world stage. But more than telling you which political side you take (thought sincerely I am not), my desire is for you to see in the spirit because beyond politics, there is a real spiritual resistance against Yahweh’s plans and purposes for Israel. What we see in the physical is only a manifestation of what is going on in the spiritual realm. I believe that the principalities that opposed the Archangel from giving Daniel the answer to his prayer were the same powers behind everything that opposes Israel’s right to exist in this generation. The Palestinian Narrative is but a strategy that carries out the enemy’s goal to defy, disrupt and abort Yahweh’s plans and purposes for the tiny nation that bears His name. Israel is pivotal to Yahweh’s plans for the Church and the nations. If you still have not grasped His heart, you need to read the Bible and be open to the Holy Spirit who teaches us into all truths.

I will not explain what a “Palestinian Narrative” is because as a non-political expert, I will not be able to give it justice; and there are so many articles in the internet that anyone can read. But here’s an excerpt of what I think explains it well.

Founding National Myths
Fabricating Palestinian History

The vast literature proving the historic Jewish connection to the Land of Israel has been extensively manipulated and distorted as part of the Palestinian politics of nationalism. Propaganda, indoctrination, and socialization, both domestically and internationally, are essential parts of the strategy and tactics of asserting Palestinian nationhood and statehood. By appropriating to themselves the values, traditions, and historical facts that belong to the Jews, Palestinians have managed to fabricate a “legitimate” history and political traditions out of nothing while denying those of Israel.

The Palestinian Nation-building Strategy

Nation-building often involves the invention of foundation myths although these normally require a certain relationship to historic facts, however tenuous. Palestinian leaders, under the leadership of Yasser Arafat and his successors, adopted a different tack: stealing the enemy’s heritage, history, and values, and denying its legitimacy as a people and a state. The Palestinian objectives are to disqualify Israel’s historical standing and to inherit its belongings by delegitimizing and even dehumanizing its national identity and personality (emphasis added) .

Palestinian tactics are simple yet sophisticated: preaching and dispersing lies and distortions of reality. History proves that the bigger the lie and the more common its reiteration, the more it is accepted as authentic and genuine. Moreover, most people are unwilling to accept the idea that an entire national leadership would dare to totally distort and fabricate history in full. Part of the Palestinians’ success in doing so is also due to the fact that most people do not know the history of the Land of Israel and of Jerusalem.

Usurping the Jewish, Biblical and Christian Past

Rewriting the history of the Land of Israel by erasing Jewish history and replacing it with a fabricated Palestinian history is a central goal of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and something that the early generations of Palestinian leaders, including the notorious Hajj Amin Husseini, who led the Palestinian Arabs to their 1948 defeat, dared not do. This fictitious history, which ignores all historical documentation and established historical methods, is based on systematic distortions of both ancient and modern history with the aim of denying Israel’s right to exist.

The Palestinian leaders claim lineage from ancient history, describing the Canaanites as their direct ancestors.[1] In the words of the PA president Mahmoud Abbas: “We said to him [Netanyahu], when he claimed the Jews have a historical right dating back to 3000 years B.C.E., we say that the nation of Palestine upon the land of Canaan had a 7,000-year history. This is the truth that must be said: Netanyahu, you are incidental in history. We are the people of history. We are the owners of history.”[2]

According to Palestinian Authority historians, the Palestinian people has been living in Palestine for over seven thousand years.[3] Another claim states that Palestinians were in the land since the beginning of creation.[4] According to Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council of the Palestinian Authority, Palestinians have roots in this land originating from earlier than 7500 B.C.E.[5] Arab villages have allegedly existed since the days of the Canaanites.[6] The “Arab” Canaanites supposedly established ports on the coast of Canaan, known today as Palestine, and Jaffa is said to have been one of the cities whose Canaanite origins later invaders failed to erase.[7] Overall, the Palestinian people claim to be rooted in the region for thousands of years and long before Israel.[8]

Throughout Palestinian media and education, all Israeli cities and areas are featured as Palestinian in origin, including Haifa, Acre, Ashkelon, Jaffa, Safed, Tiberias, Tel Aviv, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, Kiryat Shmonah, and the Negev. These are the “Palestinian homeland” or “occupied Palestine.”[30] Instilling these assertions and psychological worldview as facts among youth and in the political arena requires a multilevel process of socialization and indoctrination, beginning with the education system. Reinforcement is constant and all-pervasive: Palestine is continually represented as an area of 27,000 sq km, and an overwhelming Palestinian majority believes this is the truth.[31]

….

Israelis are described as religious groups of imposters who were never Jews but part of a Zionist plot to occupy Palestinian lands and steal the Palestinian identity and cultural heritage. This is derided as the greatest crime ever committed against humanity with the aim of the Judaization of Palestine.[34] Even the Hebrew language is said to be stolen from Palestinian Aramaic.[35] The Israeli state creates “false names” for sites to “erase the Palestinian facts.” It steals everything it lays its hands on “by means of terror,” including music, food, clothing, and folk traditions, even falafel and humus.[36] All the territory held by the state of Israel is occupied, and the Palestinians will not compromise on it.[37]

In the light of this, Palestinian commentators demand that Zionists must acknowledge publicly before the world that Jews have no connection to Palestinian Arab land. Zionist history is nothing more than invention and falsification, constituting a crude form of colonialism.[38] Zionists are trying to create a fake history at the expense of a real Palestinian history so as to steal the history and the culture of the Palestinians.[39]

Modern Jewish History: Traditional Narratives of Israeli and Palestinian History

The dream is spot-on. But bear in mind that our purpose for understanding the events affecting Israel is not to advocate for the nation against another. As followers of Yeshua, our calling is to preach the Good News to the world without prejudice; that includes the Palestinians and all anti-Israel, anti-Semitic individuals and nations. The Palestinians are not the real enemies but the unseen forces behind the propaganda. As we pray for Israel, we must also pray for the Palestinians. We must pray for their salvation, that both Jews and Palestinians come to the saving knowledge of Yeshua. It is only by being united in the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, that both people groups will be able to live peacefully, side by side with one another. The two-state solution will not solve the conflict and  expulsion of the Jews from the land and renaming it does not sit well with Yahweh and His Word.

Amos 9:14-15

14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land,
And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

Isaiah 62:6-7

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

A Quick Note and Testimony

It has been close to six months since the last time I published on this blog; and getting back is not easy. I lost my momentum although not the desire to write and share the things I learned from the Lord. Praise Yahweh for not giving up on me.

I want to thank all of you, brothers and sisters, who took the time to contact me through this blog or email and would like to ask your forgiveness for not giving you answers as I thought I would be able to write on this blog soon. But, obviously, it took me such a long time to sit down and write.

Anyway, I got sick last year and that’s the primary reason for my absence. It started off as  an unusual fatigue in the early part of June last year and gradually itensified as the days went by. Without detailing the symptoms, I was hospitalized in August and was diagnosed with Grave’s disease that caused hyperthyroidism. I was still sick when I posted the last article about the “Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem;” and praise the Lord, I was still able to attend and do my part in the event last October.

Although the medicines worked, I remained physically weak and didn’t regain the weight I lost which was about 10kgs because I would not take those medicines dutifully. In my last visit to the doctor over two months ago, he said that I would need to undergo radioactive iodine treatment to stop my thyroid from producing excessive iodine. He explained that it was safe though it meant causing the thyroid in the long run to stop working altogether thus creating the opposite situation of a hypo thyroid; safe in the sense that the lack of iodine is not harmful and can easily be supplemented compared to a hyper thyroid that could affect the other organs adversely when not treated. Both cases didn’t sound good to me and I thought I could pray and ask the Father to heal me.

Well, I returned to taking the prescribed medicine which was really effective. But as very typical of me, I rebelled against depending on pills to keep me in shape so I acted on my conviction that the Father could heal me. I went to the Lord in prayer, desperately asking Him to restore my thyroid to its normal function. Filled with the Spirit, my faith soared and by His leading I opened my Bible to see what He would tell me; and alas! I looked straight to the highlighted word in 2 Kings 20:5 that says, “… ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears and I will heal you.’…”

Yahweh gave me the word He gave Hezekiah after he desperately prayed for healing. I thanked and praised Him and told Him that I would just finish off the medicines for the next three days and won’t buy anymore but trust that He already healed me. From that day forward, about two months now, I never suffered from any symptom. I don’t look sick and feel sick anymore. I am physically normal and that’s all because of His faithfulness. Praise and glory to Yahweh!

I will end this note for now but will be back soon. Thank you for all your prayers and for remembering me during my absence. The Lord bless and keep you all.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

What is the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem?

On the first Sunday of every October, hundreds of millions of people around the world join together to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In just a few years, this event has quickly become the largest Israel-focused prayer event in history. But why set aside this day each year to pray for Jerusalem?

Purpose

We set aside this one day each year to raise global awareness and intercession for G-d’s purposes in Israel, knowing that this hour in history is critical and our authority in prayer is great. Though we pray every day for Israel, we seek on this day to unite believers around the world in raising a cry to Heaven on behalf of this troubled, but strategic land and its people. We believe in G-d’s promises for His beloved nation and fervently pray to hasten the day when He brings fulfillment to His word. (Read more).

How to Pray for Israel- Regardless of Israel’s Political Situation

Psalm 122:6

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.

Isaiah 62:6-7

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

This is from the Intercessors for Israel (IFI):

  1. Introduction: Considering that the current crisis and the headlines in and about Israel change very rapidly, how can we consistently intercede and know we are hitting God’s target?
  2. First, here are two basic foundations for effective intercession:
    1. We pray according to God’s Word because it is only as we pray according to His will that we are confident that He hears and answers – in His timing:

And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us. [The Greek “hears” indicates listening with an intent to act on what is said.] And if we know that He hears us… we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

      1 John 5:14-15

Why can we have this confidence in His Word? Because, God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good? (Num. 23:19)

God also states, So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isa. 55:11). See also Psalm 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, etc.

    2. Our goal is the sanctification of God’s name. In Hebraic/biblical thought, name equals essential nature or reputation. This is the foundation for what the Lord is doing today in Israel, in the Church and in our personal lives.Tanach [Old Testament] saints had this as one of the basic goals of their prayers. After Israel sinned by demanding a human king, Samuel exhorted the people saying, Fear not. You have done all this wickedness, yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart…For the LORD will not forsake His people for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you (1 Sam. 12:20,22-23a).The Psalms use this foundational concept frequently.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name. Deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Your name’s sake. Why should the gentiles say, Where is their God?

      Psa. 79:9-10a; cp. 115:1-3

The most important and relevant chapter relating to Israel’s restoration today is Ezekiel 36. Concerning Israel’s return, God says, I am not doing this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the gentiles, where you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the gentiles shall know that I am the LORD…when I shall be sanctified in you [Israel] before their eyes (Ezek. 36:22-23).

Messiah Yeshua undrstood this biblical concept of seeking God’s glory first, so He commands us, After this manner therefore pray. Our Father in heaven, hallowed [sanctified] be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:9-10). Yeshua is saying that one of the ways in which God’s name will be sanctified/glorified is by His will being done on earth. And that is what we see in the situations concerning Israel today.

  3. As we see what God is accomplishing in and through Israel, then we can accurately pray about current issues. What is God’s ultimate goal?

For the earth [to] be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

    Hab. 2:14

When will that happen? When Messiah Yeshua returns. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels… (Matt. 16:27a; see also Psa. 24:7-10; Zech. 2:5,8; Matt. 24:30; 25:31; Luke 2:32; Rev. 5:13, etc.)

What is needed for Messiah Yeshua to return? First, the gospel must go from Jerusalem (Acts 1:8) unto the ends of the earth.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

    Matt. 24:14

This has taken place and is continuing to occur today as multitudes are being saved in throughout the world – except in affluent “westernized” nations.

Then from the ends of the earth, the scattered Jewish people need to be regathered. For I will take you from among the gentiles, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. (Ezek. 36:24; see also Psa. 147:2; Isa. 43:5-7; Jer. 32:37-41; Amos 9:14-15; Zech. 8:7-8, etc.)

Their return to the land will result in all Israel being saved. Many prophetic verses say that the Jews return in unbelief – then God opens up their spiritual eyes to see Yeshua, their Messiah and Lord. In Zechariah 12, nations come against a people already in Jerusalem and Judea. Then God says, I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me [in Hebrew: “look to Me”] whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zech. 12:10; see also Deut. 30:3-6; Jer. 33:7-8; Ezek. 36:24-28; Zeph. 3:14-20, etc.)

Israel’s salvation occurs before the physical return of the Lord because Yeshua is returning to Jerusalem (Zech. 14:3-4; Acts 1:10-12). And Yeshua said He will not return until He is invited back by Jerusalem as Messiah. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem [He is talking to the people, especially the leaders of Israel.], you that kill the prophets and stone them which are sent unto you, how often would I have gathered your children together…and you would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, You shall not see Me henceforth until you shall say, Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord. (Matt. 23:37-39) Blessed is he that comes in the name of YHWH [God’s personal name in the Tanach] is quoted from Psalm 118:26. Many in Judaism see this verse as what they will say to their Messiah. Until a significant remnant in Israel says this from the heart, Yeshua will not return.

For Israel to be saved, they need to be alive. God is not in the business of saving dead people (Heb. 9:27). For the Jews to remain alive – especially in Israel’s neighborhood – they need a strong army. This also is a fulfillment of the prophetic word. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. (Ezek. 37:10; see also Isa. 41:10-16; Jer. 51:19-24; Mic. 4:11-13; Zech. 12:6, etc.)

For Israel to be saved, they need a land to return to. In Ezekiel 36 and Zechariah 12, God deals with Israel once they are back in the land.

For Israel to be saved and remain in His land, they need a godly government. This is also a prophetic promise from God. I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds…And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them…saith the LORD. (Jer. 23:3-4; also Isa. 1:26; Jer. 3:14-15; Zech. 12:6, etc.).

In other words, for God’s Kingdom to come, that is for Yeshua to return, all Israel needs to be saved. For that to happen, she needs to be in the land of Israel (although we bless God for every Jew who has met Messiah while in exile). The land needs to be here for the Jews to return to it. Israel also needs to be able to protect her people, which requires a strong army. All of this entails having a government that – as much as possible – lines up with God’s will.

Anything that hinders this is not God’s will. With this outline in mind, it becomes easier to pray into Israel’s current situation.

  4. We can now pray for Israel, regardless of her current situation. Here are just some areas for intercession that are always in line with God’s will.
    • Cry out for Israel to cry out: Call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you shalt glorify Me. (Psa. 50:15; also 2 Chr. 7:14)
    • Plead for mercy in the midst of God’s righteous judgments: LORD, I have heard Your speech, and was afraid. LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known. In wrath remember mercy. (Hab. 3:2; also Psa. 85:4)
    • Pray for aliyah: For thus says the LORD, Sing with gladness for Jacob, shout among the chief of the nations: publish, praise, and say, LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together. A great company shall return there. (Jer. 31:7-8; also Psa. 147:2; Isa. 43:5-7; Ezek. 36:23-24)
    • Pray against any “Land for Peace” process: For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land. (Joel 3:1-2; also Lev. 25:23; Ezek 35:12-13)
    • Intercede for the salvation of Moslems through the destruction of Islam: Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Your name, LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever. Yes, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that You, whose name alone is YHWH, are the most high over all the earth. (Psa 83:16-18; also Zech 14:16)
    • Pray for Israel’s salvation:

And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. For this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

      Rom 11:26-27

Turn us again, O God, and cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved…
Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved…
Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause Your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

      Psa 80:3,7,19

See also Psalm 44:4 and Zechariah 12:10.

    • Intercede for the Church to awake to her responsibility and relationship to Israel:

Ruth said, Do not beg me to leave you, or to turn from following after you, for where you go, I will go. Where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God:

      Ruth 1:16

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

      Rom. 11:11

Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, you bear not the root [God’s covenantal promises to Israel], but the root you.

      Rom. 11:18

With a biblical foundation for our intercession, we are better able to hear the leading of God’s Spirit as He places on our hearts His burdens for the nation of Israel – and the Church – in these days of great shakings. (IFI)

Don’t Be Deceived! A Vision of Speed Timothy Rathbun of the Trumpet Call of God

Trumpet Call of God

The Lord Jesus Christ has warned us that in the last days many false messiahs and false prophets will come in His name to deceive even the elect if it were possible. Deception is rising ever increasingly and many well-meaning believers have fallen into it without even knowing they are deceived.

I am drawing your attention to the “Trumpet Call of God” as the Lord showed me in a vision the true spiritual condition of its leader/prophet Speed Timothy Rathbun. I didn’t hear and know anything about Speed Timothy Rathbun and the TCOG until Brother Carlos (nabiy4america) told me of his concern over a dear sister, a common friend who had stopped communicating with us for nearly three years now. I have been concerned about her from the moment I learned of her involvement. I scanned the net for anything I could read about the Trumpet Call of God and the extent/depth of this friend’s involvement. The information I gathered in the two days that I heard of this group is quite disturbing. I could barely sleep and prayed fervently for this dear friend. In answer to my prayer the Lord gave me a vivid dream which showed that my suspicion of the group’s true spiritual condition is right. Unfortunately, the dream also showed that our dear friend is deep into this group. About a month later as I sought the Lord if I had to see and talk to this friend after my calls and past emails went unanswered, He gave me another dream that reiterated the message of the first dream. I also saw in this second dream how she turned away and would not to talk to me anymore. Three days after the second dream, the Lord gave me this vision of Timothy Rathbun during my intercession for this dear sister.

Here is the vision as I shared with Brother Carlos:

“As I was asking the Lord to open her eyes to see the errors of Timothy’s teachings, at the mention of his name I saw the guy in (a) yoga sitting position while enjoying/smoking pot. Then bending forward to the ground and without using his hands, he drank something which I knew was milk.”

His Interpretation:

“Now about Timothy- yoga suggests eastern mysticism/demons/New Age/deception and the milk could have a twofold meaning. Milk of the Word, which in his case means a lack of true spiritual understanding of Scriptures as opposed to “meat,” but I believe it also points to mixing in of some truth to make his deception more “drinkable” to the vulnerable. The ground suggests the earth/world, not of the Spirit of God. No use of hands = no true authority from God. Marijuana = deception… about the milk, it also means that only those at the “milk level” of Bible understanding will be fooled by him.”

As the Spirit led, I emailed this friend about the vision that she might be warned and hopefully would listen and come out of it. Sadly, she didn’t answer me but instead, later removed her blog and her Facebook page which she knew I was reading and watching. (However, she keeps to this day another Facebook page dedicated only to “trumpeting” the letters of Timothy Rathbun). When I realized what she did, I could not help but cry unto the Lord. As I mentioned, she has stopped communicating with us her friends for a long time now. She isolated herself which is the natural result of being indoctrinated into the cult. I felt so bad about the situation and sought God for answers. Feeling so hopeless, He strongly laid in my heart to write and share this on the blog to bring the warning out not only for her and the group but for everyone whom the Lord wants to warn, and, as a confirmation, led me straight to Ezekiel 3:17-27 when I opened my Bible. The two highlighted verses (17 & 27) that immediately caught my eyes say this:

Ezekiel 3:17

17 “Human being, I have appointed you to be a watchman for the house of Isra’el. When you hear a word from my mouth, you are to warn them for me.

27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth; and you will say to them, ‘This is what Adonai Elohim says.’ Whoever is inclined to listen will listen, and whoever is inclined to refuse will refuse, because they are a rebellious house.

The message of the Lord is clear- speak up and warn them. So, if you heard of this group or read the so-called letters from God and His Christ supposedly given to Timothy which he describes as the ‘Modern Scripture Spoken to this Generation,’ please know that this group is a cult and Timothy is a false prophet. To say or imply that the letters are in equal footing with or as authoritative as the Bible that must be obeyed is already in itself an error that a discerning believer must know. The letters seem to be authentic as they are taken from the Scriptures but as deception is deception, they contain doses of errors and are twisted  that eventually lead to one’s bondage to Timothy and his teachings. The “Trumpet Call of God” is a prison cell and it is Timothy’s subtle manipulation through the so-called prophetic letters that imprison those who are enticed to join. To cite one example of this manipulative tactics, here’s the ‘letter’ about ‘staying separate.’

Regarding Staying Separate

12/11/04 From God The Father – A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

“My children, struggle not against another’s principles, nor rebuke them, says The Lord. Let go of your own notions of right and wrong, and strive to love one another in spite of yourselves; have compassion for those with whom you disagree. Do not judge them, nor shun them in your heart; rather love those who speak against you, and pray for them. Yet have no part in their sin, nor keep their company anymore, for they do rebel against their God. Their argument is with The Lord, though it may seem as though you have become the object of their dispute.
For they do always struggle against God, in an effort to hold onto their sin. For it is I who wrote The Law in their hearts. Therefore, they know right from wrong and choose to rebel. Yet if they did not know, then I did not write it within their hearts, nor would they be in the wrong, nor would they be accountable for their sins or guilty of rebellion, for one can not rebel while in ignorance.

If you casually read the letter, you will simply think it is about staying separate from the world which aligns with the message of the Lord Jesus about being set apart from the world for though we are in the world yet we are not of it.

John 17:16-17

16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

In this example, Timothy is subtly telling his “little flock” (that’s how he calls his followers) to stay away from everyone including families who oppose, question or simply do not agree with or accept the letters and believe and obey the instructions thereof. That is the very essence of a cult. He has successfully manipulated them to the point of isolating them from their families. Read some testimonies of past members who escaped from the group from this link:

Damaging Testimonies of Past Members

So, is that what the Lord is saying, to stay away or isolate yourself from everybody who does not agree with the Word? Let’s see what He actually says in the verse prior:

John 17:14-15

14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

The Lord Yeshua did not ask the Father to take us out of the world but that He should keep us from the evil one. We are to remain in the world with everyone around us, believer or unbeliever, but we are to set ourselves apart from the deeds of the world which obviously are opposed to the righteousness and holiness of the Father for which we are called to conform by the grace given to us through our relationship with His Son, our Messiah Yeshua who died in our behalf and imparted to us His very own righteousness. We are not to shut out ourselves in isolation. If you do, what happens then to the Word of the Lord about us being the light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden?

Matthew 5:14-15

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

The testimonies of past members contradict this calling to be lights of the world as they actually became stumbling blocks even to their own families in their physical or social and even mental isolation.

Here’s an email from a dear sister in Texas about what she heard/saw about the TCOG:

“… I saw a special on TV about them.  They are very controlling, won’t let you have contact with the outside including your family, friends, and etc.  Sometimes they might let you see your mom or dad but the elders must be present at the meeting.  They won’t let you answer letters, receive phone calls, or having any kind of contact with the outside world.  I think even the house they lived in was boarded up.  It was very depressing. The people that join with them seem to act like zombies.  The elders demand complete obedience.

The TV show that did a special on this cult I think was done by Fox News Channel.  There were two families who each had a daughter taken in by this cult.  All their correspondences were unanswered.  They went to the location where their daughter was but was denied visitation rights.  They called the local police, they came out, but could not do anything because to that point the cult leaders had done nothing wrong where they could intervene.  One of the families did get to see their daughter and alone but nothing positive came of it like the daughter wanting to leave.”

Noteworthy also is how Timothy lives his life for as the Lord says, we shall know them by their fruit (Matt.7:15-16). If the letters indeed are God’s Word through Timothy so as to make them equal to the Bible that the Body must accept and obey, then he should have a life patterned after the Messiah in all manner as a true disciple/prophet, for why should he be more privileged than the Lord? The student is no greater than the teacher. Certainly, Timothy will not make such an outrageous claim that he is for that makes him obvious. So, Timothy’s great teacher and master, Jesus the Messiah, the Son of the Living God who came to reveal to us the Father and reconciled us to Him through His blood and sacrifice had nowhere to lay His head and owned no material riches. He even advised the rich young man to sell everything he owned and give them to the poor and follow him. This should be the kind of life that Timothy Rathbun leads but instead, he lives the opposite. The sad thing is, he gets his privileged life at the expense of his faithful or rather manipulated “little flock.”

Please read Surprising Background on Timothy Rathbun.

Honestly, it is not easy to call one a ‘false prophet’ and label a group ‘cult.’ But after much prayer and seeing the vision, the Lord solidified what I felt strongly about Speed Timothy Rathbun and his Trumpet Call of God.

This friend’s Facebook page dedicated to “trumpeting” Timothy’s letters get so many likes, an indication that people are reading and appreciating the messages. I pray that this article, written in obedience to the Father, reach those who blindly or innocently follow the letters of Timothy Rathbun. May everyone diligently study the Word of the Lord, the Holy Bible. May you seek Him to teach you and lead you into all truths that you may not be deceived by those wolves in sheep’s clothing claiming to have the truth; claiming that theirs is the right way when there is only one who is the Way, the Truth and the Life- Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. He alone is the True Shepherd on whom we must fix our eyes and follow earnestly for He alone will not mislead us.

John 17:11-15; 27-30

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

On a final note, Speed Timothy Rathbun of the Trumpet Call of God is not the only one who misleads the people of God, in fact, his is probably just a small flock compared to the more popular Christian leaders’ whom Brother Joseph Herrin (parablesblog) has written extensively about. If you have not read his articles on “Deception” yet, I highly recommend that you do.

A Message from the Lord: Rest and Recuperate!

The Lord is My Shepherd

http://www.warnersallman.com/collection/images/the-lord-is-my-shepard/

I have been busy since after publishing the last article on March 18. After my son’s graduation on April 2, I was eager to resume writing especially about the dream I wanted to share, but it was even more impossible to do because the children are all home as the school year ended. The situation also affected much of my personal time with the Lord and so I struggled to concentrate on spiritual matters. As I sought God, He seemed quiet. I wanted Him to help me concentrate on writing the things I thought I had to. I sought for confirmation and inspiration to write again. After much prayer, confident that He heard me, I expected to receive what I was seeking about. Instead, just before I fell asleep on April 6, the Lord gave me this message, “R & R, His swift army.” Without opening my eyes I asked, “What does that mean, Lord?”

I went to sleep wondering what the R & R message means. I never heard of that. I said I would check it out in the morning but I forgot. Persistently I prayed again and still God didn’t give me anything until I remembered the above message two days later. I checked what could God be saying though I was not really sure what to find out and if I would find anything at all. To my surprise, however, there is indeed the term ‘R & R’ in the US military which means ‘Rest and Recuperation.’

R&R, military slang for rest and recuperation (or rest and relaxation), is a term used for the free time of a soldier in the US military or International UN staff serving in non-family duty stations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%26R_%28military%29

From the US Army site, this is what they say among others:

http://www.armyg1.army.mil/randr/faq.asp

What is the Rest and Recuperation Leave Program?

The U.S. Central Command Commander established the Rest and Recuperation Leave Program in the Central Command Area of Operations to provide the opportunity for U.S. service members and Department of Defense civilians who are deployed in the combat theater for 1 year to take up to 15 days of leave during their deployment.

Why was the program instituted?

The program provides respite from the stresses associated with the combat mission and allows participants to focus on family and friends when they return home. This is seen as an investment in the well being of our forces that will improve mission performance.

The purpose is to provide relief to servicemen and servicewomen and DoD civilians and enable them to get away form the stress of the combat mission – if only for a little while. (all emphasis mine).

When I saw it I could only tell God, “Truly you are amazing, Father.” While I thought of going to work immediately as I could get the break, He was telling me to rest and recuperate. That morning before I remembered to check on the message after receiving no confirmation and inspiration to write, I already decided to just relax in Him, read the Word, pray consistently and wait patiently. And I did just that especially after seeing the meaning of the message. So for those who are wondering where I am, this is the reason for my silence.

The Lord gave this message not only for me, but also for His army. This is for His people, His spiritual army. I was not only seeking for confirmation and inspiration to write on my dream but I was also asking Him for further revelation as to what happens next after last month’s events. I could see that people are likewise seeking as I often see the search terms which lead many to this blog. We are curious, eager to know what the next big event is, never wanting to miss anything, never wanting to be taken by surprise. But our faithful Father knows we need more than just knowing what comes next and when for He has already given us so many revelations. We know where the world is headed for He has warned us in the Scriptures and through dreams and visions. He knows we need strength both physical and spiritual to face the perilous days ahead. So, this is what He wants His army to do: Take time to rest and recuperate. Let us refresh ourselves in Him. Dig His Word, take in the spiritual nutrients, drink of the Living Water and be strengthened. Above all, enjoy quiet moments with our Shepherd, reconnect with Him heart to heart. He wants our precious time, our fellowship.

Abortion as I See It

This is am image of a fetus about to be vacuum...

This is am image of a fetus about to be vacuumed out of the uterus in an abortion. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

As a servant, it is imperative that I do what my Master orders me to do. As an intercessor, I follow what the Lord wants me to pray about. As a watchman, I cannot choose what the Spirit wants to show me; and as one who always wants to know the Father’s heart, I must bear whatever He imparts to me, whether it makes me rejoice or weep with Him. I say this because for the past weeks since May 30, the Lord has not shown me anything but America and Abortion. I know that this is the third article in a row which I talk about abortion. What can I do if this is what He lets me do? Yes, I asked the Lord, why again? Are the two articles not strong enough to emphasize the horrors of abortion? How many times more do I have to shout against it?

This morning as I was praying for my personal needs and my family, suddenly, the Lord supplied the words on my lips which were completely out of context. In the middle of my praying, I blurted out: “They are taking piece by piece the baby out of her mother’s womb! I stopped immediately as I was shocked at what I said. Again my thoughts went back to abortion and I cried as it dawned on me that yesterday after another horrible vision, the Lord strongly impressed to me to write another message on abortion, to emphasize His pain and disgust over this unrestrained killing of children and to show what mothers lose when they abort their children from their wombs. All personal prayers ended as the Lord gripped my heart again with this issue that I decided to write immediately what He wanted me to write. So here I am again. Please read on.

After publishing the second abortion article just the other day, I thought I’d be relieved from it and the Lord would stir me back to Israel or to anything and anywhere else. I was expectant for new revelation of another issue as yesterday I felt a deep hunger for the Lord that I prayed before taking an afternoon nap. I asked Him if I love Him enough, or trust Him enough and believe Him enough. I asked Him to draw me deeper into Him and fill my every fiber of His presence because I felt parched. I prayed that He would show me what was in His heart at the moment. While in that spirit of prayer, I fell half asleep but very quickly was awakened because I saw again another horrible abortion scene. I saw two small limbs on forceps dropped in a bucket below; and the thought was that the abortionists covered the bucket where all the small parts were, to keep the mother from seeing the torn pieces of her baby and realize the shocking truth of what she just underwent. All drowsiness left me and my eyes were wide open as I cried over what I just witnessed. The Lord’s presence was so strong that I felt like He was in my room and telling me, “That is what’s happening right now in America. Thousands of little ones are being killed today in those clinics.”

I cried and asked, “Why, Lord, are they doing it? When will they stop killing their children and when will you stop them from doing it? Why do I keep seeing these things and what do you want me to do?”  I reasoned that I am not an American and I do not live there. Certainly I cannot go around in their streets and tell people to stop aborting their children.

The Lord gently and sadly responded to my many questions and arguments- that He just wants me to see what He sees and wants to share His grief with me. Oh, the thought makes me cry even as I am writing this.

Then without warning He said further that I was blessed that I am not an American living in America or my daughter would have faced the risk of being aborted as my pregnancy was a difficult one. It hit me that I cried when I imagined fighting for the life of my daughter from those lying abortionist-doctors who were so eager to tell a mother that the best option is to abort her baby as her very own life is at risk. My baby was born 4 weeks short of her full term. Despite my inability to move and speak as I was drugged, the physician’s word didn’t escape me when she said that my daughter’s breathing was irregular and she’s showing signs of distress that they had to do a CS and deliver her quickly. I prayed because I didn’t want to lose her. My baby was born. She was placed in an incubator only for a night. Despite her very tiny frame and being premature, she was well and strong. Her body was like a big frog but her face was so lovely that when the Lord spoke of abortion with my daughter in mind, I was horrified all the more. I could not imagine abortion being so personal to me.

The Lord gently pointed to me that the reason He reminded me of my daughter was not to terrify me but so that I can speak with conviction from a mother’s point.  I understood. The pain was so acute as the Lord placed me in such a position; to be in the shoes of those mothers who would lose their children in abortion. My eyes were welling up with tears as if indeed I was losing my own children as I saw in my mind the babies being ruthlessly pulled out from the life support of their mothers’ wombs, painfully struggling as their tiny frames are slowly severed to pieces. I imagined the loss of a treasure that many women don’t realize or refuse to acknowledge when they submit to killing their children from their womb. So, to all mothers and would be mothers, hear the message of the Lord:

It is such a loss for you to abort your children because they are actually your greatest treasures. Whatever challenges child-bearing and raising has cannot compare to the joy of holding one tiny precious angel in your hand, feeding him/her from your breast; watching him/her grow; listening to him/her mumble his/her first word. The love that children give to us mothers is pure and perfect if we just treasure them and love them with all our heart. Children love their mothers unconditionally like no other. Again, they are our most valuable treasures on earth. The psalmist aptly says:

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth (Psalm 127:3-4, NIV).”

I nicknamed my daughter Angel because when I saw her she looked to me like an angel. She fought for her life when she was in my womb and survived. At 10 months I almost lost her to dengue but the Lord was with her. She survived again and now she’s 7 years old, very sweet and very talented; above all, she knows that the Lord Yeshua loves her and she loves Him too. Young as she is, the Lord also gives her prophetic dreams.

Mothers and would-be mothers, please consider what your children can be if you let them live and grow. Consider what you lose when you have them aborted. You lose not only your treasures, but you also lose your worth as a woman. Worst, you lose your soul to the devil if you give in to his lie. If you had given in and aborted your baby, there is still hope if you repent and surrender your life to the Lord Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). Know that every child is a treasure and a gift from the Lord. We were all once babies of our mothers. The Father knows each one of us even before we were formed. David put the words well in Psalm 139. Verses 13-16 are quoted from the Complete Jewish Bible:

Psalm 139:13-16

For you fashioned my inmost being;

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I thank you because I am awesomely made,

wonderfully; your works are wonders–

I know this very well.

My bones were not hidden from you

when I was being made in secret,

intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes could see me as an embryo,

but in your book all my days were already written;

my days had been shaped

before any of them existed.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia
