Ocean Jet

It was 7:09 in the morning today, Philippines time, that I was on board the Ocean Jet, seated beside my 72-year old mother. We were on our way to Cebu from Tagbilaran to apply for a passport for her. It’s her long time dream to travel overseas and this trip to Singapore is the first time. Yahweh is great for giving Mama not only the opportunity to travel abroad but also for the privilege of witnessing my brother’s first solo exhibit outside of the country come September this year.

We went to Cebu last Monday but the passport application was unsuccessful because of some lacking documents. Yesterday, the last important document that we were waiting for was finally delivered, just in time for today, Friday, the last working day of the week.

I was praying for the document to arrive because had it not been delivered on time, I cannot anymore accompany Mama since my kids and I will be leaving for Dumaguete on Sunday, ending our month-long vacation in Bohol. And Yahweh willing, we will be flying back to Manila towards the end of the month in time for the opening of classes for this school year 2017-2018.

Yesterday, everything was set and we were ready for the trip this morning. Mama went to bed early while I finished my laundry. I went to bed around 10 o’clock but Mama was up again, said she was hungry. She had tea and a piece of pancake which my daughter prepared for her. I was already falling asleep when she said that her blood pressure was slightly high. I didn’t mind as I thought it would normalize in a few minutes. Moments later I heard her calling my nephew to wake up as she might need a trip to the hospital because her blood pressure kept going up even after taking her medicine. I got up, found her sitting on her bed already feeling bad and getting pale. I took her hands; they were very cold even after the aircon was off. I held them tight while praying. I rubbed and massaged her cold feet as well with liniment. She took another reading of her blood pressure. It went down from 180/100 to 160/100, still above normal.

Some minutes later Mama was still not relieved. It was 12:00 midnight. While observing her, I kept praying and asking the Lord if He would hear me and heal her. Papa was already up and by his looks, I knew he was very concerned. He rubbed Mama’s hands and back. Her breath was short and rapid as along with the high blood pressure she was also complaining of heartburn. She wanted to see the doctor. I had to make up my mind and obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit to pray once again, to take authority and to rebuke everything that’s attacking her, otherwise, the hospital trip would ensue that could likely lead to the cancellation of the trip to Cebu in the morning.

I sat down in front of her on the bed. Holding both her hands I praised and thanked the Lord for listening and answering my prayer. I heard both Papa and Mama agreeing with me as I prayed by the leading of the Spirit. The prayer lasted about 10 minutes which I ended by reciting Psalm 23.

I told my parents that it’s okay to go back to sleep as everything would be alright. Mama checked her blood pressure right after our prayer. It read 133/100. Praise Yahweh God! Mama exclaimed, “The power of prayer!” I answered, “The power of God because He is real!”

Mama was observing herself for a little while. I heard her told Papa softly that if she won’t feel total relief, they would go to the hospital. I stood in the gap quietly and as the Lord led, I prayed in the Spirit. Finally, I saw her relaxed. She removed the pile of pillows she used to lean on and slept normally. I could hear Papa softly snoring. They were both asleep. I went back to bed praising Yahweh for another miracle. I looked up the time and it read 1:30. I could not tell how long before I finally fell asleep but I didn’t really care because I was just happy and grateful watching both my parents sleeping soundly.

Mama woke up very early as usual. I woke up a quarter before 5:00 o’clock. My first question to her was, “Are we going to Cebu as planned?” She said, “Yes, because now I’m feeling fine, not sensing anything wrong!”

In two hours we got to our destination safe and sound. Since Mama is a senior citizen, she was privileged to not go through the long line and so was done in less than an hour. Before the day ended, we were already back here in Bohol. All through the day until this moment that she’s already asleep, my dear Mama has not complained of anything unusual.

Thank You, Father, for healing Mama and for the successful trip to Cebu earlier today. Thank you, for being our present help in times of need. Thank you that even if I do not always sense Your nearness, You truly are just a prayer away. Thank You, that once again You showed me that You are always with me and I can rest assured that when I pray, You listen and answer. Forgive me for the times I doubted about hearing Your voice. And thank you for not condemning me for being slow of understanding. Most of all, thank You for loving me unconditionally. I love You so much, my Father and my God!

The Ministry of Obedience

As a break from my earlier post today, I am finishing this long standing message because the reminder to finish this keeps popping up on my tablet. I believe the reminder comes from the Lord Himself because this is the only one among the many drafts, that has been showing up in the notification for 3 weeks now.

The ministry of obedience is unheard of in any Christian congregation. Rightly so because there is no such ministry. We all know of the praise and worship ministry, healing ministry, prayer and intercession, youth ministry and so on, but not the ministry of obedience.

Christians are encouraged to be involved in church ministries, to find their place in God’s kingdom through the local church. This was the topic we were discussing in a group meeting. Spiritual gifts came into the forefront and most of the ladies talk about the gift of healing; naturally, because the church is known for healing and deliverance. But when someone expressed disappointment for not getting results when praying for the sick, I got concerned. I was concerned not because she didn’t get the result she wanted but because of her reaction. She wondered why God seemed to deprive her when she’s eager to be used in the healing ministry.

When I got home, I pondered the above incident in my heart then I heard in my spirit, “My children are concerned about church ministries but not the ministry of obedience.”

Our Father is more interested in us getting involved in the ministry of obedience than in any other. In other words, He wants His children to obey Him than to do great things for Him. Before He can effectively use us, we must first have an obedient heart- a heart that is fully devoted to Him.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him... (2 Chronicles 16:9).

… Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22).

Don’t Quit

During a very difficult time in 2010 I said to God in desperation that unless He intervened I would certainly quit. I said I would not do anything good or bad but definitely I would stop hoping and believing. I slept with a heavy heart because I meant everything I said and contemplated; because I felt truly hopeless and helpless. But as faithful and good as He is, He didn’t let go of me. He gave me a message in a very vivid dream.

In the dream I was down on the floor, no strength nor wish to get up. Then I heard a voice calling aloud, “Where are now those who are willing to stand in His name?; who will defend Him now?”

As I heard it I realized that everyone seemed to turn away, and I did not want to. I mustered all my will and stood on my feet; and raising my arms high I shouted on top of my voice, “JESUS IS LORD! JESUS IS LORD! JESUS IS MY LORD!”

Suddenly, two women turned and looked at me angrily. They raised their hands to slap me but they hit an invisible wall and hit it hard. In shock and amazement they walked away from me.

I woke up and cried as it dawned on me how foolish I was to tell God I was quitting. He showed me in the dream that I could not and really would not want to run away from Him. He also clearly showed me that those who wished me harm, those who wanted to see me fall would be disappointed for He is protecting me. He is my shield and those who will attack me will find themselves attacking and hitting Him instead. Hallelujah!!!

If you feel like quitting, thinking that God does not care or is not concerned about you and your situation, you are definitely wrong. He loves you more than you ever know. Hold on and wait upon the Lord for He is doing something good out of your troubles. He is molding you into the person that He wants you to be; that you will be perfectly fit for the calling that He has for you. The process is painful but when you come out of it, when you see yourself transformed in His expert hands you will certainly thank and praise Him that He let you go through the fire.

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge[b]
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

What is the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem?

On the first Sunday of every October, hundreds of millions of people around the world join together to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In just a few years, this event has quickly become the largest Israel-focused prayer event in history. But why set aside this day each year to pray for Jerusalem?

Purpose

We set aside this one day each year to raise global awareness and intercession for G-d’s purposes in Israel, knowing that this hour in history is critical and our authority in prayer is great. Though we pray every day for Israel, we seek on this day to unite believers around the world in raising a cry to Heaven on behalf of this troubled, but strategic land and its people. We believe in G-d’s promises for His beloved nation and fervently pray to hasten the day when He brings fulfillment to His word. (Read more).

Isaiah 62:6-7

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Why Stand with Israel?

IsraelFlag_(1).jpg

Israel is a land about which G-d says – uniquely, prophetically, redemptively, and repeatedly in the Bible – “This is Mine.” G-d refers to Israel as He does to no other land on Earth. Israel was raised up to be a light to the Gentiles.

The Church at its inception was virtually entirely Jewish, and it remained so until the Gospel began to spread. Ultimately, the Gospel spread to Antioch – where the first Gentile congregation began – the base from which the Gospel spread into all the world.

In the book of Romans, chapters 9 through 11, the Apostle Paul deals with the question of the Jews in G-d’s providence and purpose. These three chapters virtually stand alone, within the whole of the Bible, as an elaboration of the theology of G-d’s dealing with Jews. The Jews were the “first fruit” … the “first people” (through Abraham) to understand a covenant G-d. They then relayed the riches of that truth to the world, and through their agency, the Messiah came into the world. The Word of G-d calls Jews the “root” and Gentiles the “branches.” We’re reminded that while “because of unbelief, some of them were broken off and you stand by faith,” we are not to become haughty but to fear: “For if G-d did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” When the fullness of the Gentiles is completed, “all Israel will be saved.” (ch. 11:16-27) (Read more)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Pope Francis Unites the World and Deceives the Nations

beforeitsnew

The Pope’s rise to power and popularity on world stage bring many “Christians” out of the Truth and they together deceive the nations. This is what the Holy Spirit said a few days ago during my prayer. I was not particularly praying about it but it is the Father’s prerogative to interrupt the thoughts of those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

I heard clearly in my spirit, “Many are coming out of the truth, deceiving the nations.” Simultaneously, the pope was impressed strongly in my heart. The timing was perfect as it was Sept. 21, the day before he landed in Washington. DC. for a tour of the US and the UN that certainly made history.

When God speaks of those coming out of the Truth, He definitely isn’t referring to the world which has always been on the wrong side of spiritual matters. He is referring to those who supposedly know the Truth in the Bible but choose to listen to the deceiving spirits and false prophets, foremost of whom is the highest official of the most popular pseudo-Christian religion in the world. Consequently, the world plunges deeper into the deception because the Bible-believing Christians fail to stand up for the Truth that they have been taught and in the name of false peace and unity embrace the doctrine of this world for humanity’s sake.

The Lord warns us in Matthew 24:24

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The pope has not done any great signs and wonders yet, none that I know of, but many Christian churches have already bowed to him. How many more will follow the piper when he or any one from his ranks will arise and show forth signs and wonders?

Brothers and sisters in Christ, this message is for us. Let us not compromise. The pope isn’t an advocate for the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter how well-meaning his words or intentions are, he is still deceived for the Truth is not in him. The smooth talk does not come from the Spirit of God but from the prince of this world, the father of lies.

This article below is worth your time: The Shocking Message Pope Francis Preached at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Let us not join hands with him and help deceive the nations, rather, let us focus on our Savior and Lord and keep sharing the Gospel for we are almost out of time and many are still lost in the dark.

Vision: Israel Through the Lens

Last night the Father reminded me of the dream/vision I received sometime in 2011 as I was praying what to do about the confusion on Israel. When I woke up this morning, the Holy Spirit prompted me to write about this.

The Lord started giving me dreams, visions, words on Israel around 2009 after I heard His voice in December 2008, in a dream or night vision saying, “As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” (The audible voice sounded as John described in Revelation like the sound of many waters). But it was in 2011 when the frequency of dreams and visions increased that I began to seek and understand what He was trying to tell me. One of those dreams I had was about seeing the vision through the lens.

In the dream I saw vividly very beautiful flowers in vibrant yellow, something I’ve never seen or perhaps won’t really see in this world.  The vast array was glorious and heavenly. It was impressed in the dream that what I saw was someone’s vision and I heard this, “To see correctly, the vision must be seen through the lens.”

The message in the dream puzzled me for months until I read in the book ‘Praying for Israel’s Destiny,’ what James W. Goll said:

“If you want to have an accurate perception of life, Scripture and God’s purposes in the Earth- especially in the days before Christ returns- you must have God’s vision. You must see through God’s eyes and then hold dear to your heart the things closest to the heart of God. Since Israel is at the center of God’s vision, we will need to see through the lens of Israel’s destiny if we are to see correctly and clearly…” (emphasis added). Read the entire excerpt on Amazon.

On a side note, I bought James Goll’s books because of the vision I had of him during prayer. It was in one of my prayers about what God was doing to me and trying to tell me in the many dreams and visions He was giving me constantly that I saw James Goll with shelves of books behind him. Immediately the impression was that the Holy Spirit was telling me to read his books. Amazingly, this man of God discuss in his books many of the messages I received on the Prophetic, Israel, and Prayer and Intercession.

The Lord also prompted me this morning to check on another man of God, Derek Prince, who, throughout his solid years in ministry during his lifetime, saw Israel and the Church in the right and Biblical perspective. I am astounded by another confirmation of what it is about seeing the vision through the lens. His book entitled “The Destiny of Israel and the Church” depicts this image.

The Destiny of Israel

Excerpt

(Below is from a PDF file. Just google to get the link to the file and read the whole excerpt)

The Focus of World Attention

“Why is Israel the focus of attention in the world’s
media? Why do pragmatic and statesmanlike
world leaders erupt with emotional outbursts when
Israel is discussed? Why does the United Nations devote 30
percent of its time and one-third of its resolutions to Israel—a
tiny country with a population of only five million?
There is only one source for a clear and authoritative
answer: the Bible. Although it was completely written almost
two thousand years before the current problems in the Middle
East arose, the Bible provides a supernaturally inspired
analysis of both the issues and the forces that are involved.
Israel occupies a unique place in the current
controversies, because the place that Israel occupies in God’s
purposes is likewise unique. God’s prophetic Word reveals
that this present age will culminate with the restoration and
redemption of Israel. The nearer we come to the close of the
age, therefore, the more intense will be the pressures
surrounding Israel.

These events that center on Israel will also determine the
destiny of Satan, the age-old adversary of God and man. In
2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan is called “the god of this age.” He is
well aware that when Israel’s redemption is completed and
this age closes, he will no longer be able to pose as a god. He
will be stripped of his power to deceive and manipulate
humanity and will be subject to the judgment of God.
Consequently, he is at this time deploying all his deceptive
strategy and exercising all his evil power to resist the process
that will lead to Israel’s restoration and ultimate redemption.
Here, then, are the two main spiritual forces that meet in
conflict over the Middle East: on the one hand, the grace of
God working toward Israel’s restoration; and on the other
hand, the deceitful strategies of Satan, who is opposing this
process by every means in his power. This is the real but
invisible reason for the struggles and tensions which Israel is
currently experiencing.

A major part of Satan’s strategy against Israel has been
to obscure the truth as revealed in the Bible. It is amazing
that so much confusion has existed, and still exists, in the
church today concerning God’s purposes for Israel. The
battle for Israel is, in fact, the battle for truth. There are two
vital areas of truth that we will consider in this book: Israel’s
identity and Israel’s destiny. After we have examined these,
we must consider whether the destiny of Israel also sheds
light on the destiny of the church. Finally, we will discuss the
responsibility of the church toward Israel in this hour of
crisis…

Essential truth is usually simple. And the truth is, Israel
is Israel, and the church is the church.
To recover the truth about the identity of Israel it is
necessary to go back to the actual text of the New Testament
and see how the apostles used the term Israel. This is the
only legitimate basis for a scripturally accurate use of this
term. Ever since the canon of Scripture was closed, no
subsequent writer or preacher has been authorized to change
the usage established by the apostolic writers of the New
Testament. Any writer or preacher who introduces a different
application of the term Israel forfeits the right to claim
scriptural authority for what he or she has to say about Israel.

I have discovered seventy-nine instances in the New
Testament where the words Israel or Israelite occur.* After
examining them all, I conclude that the apostles never used
Israel as a synonym for the church.
Nor does the phrase the new Israel occur anywhere in
the New Testament. Preachers who use that phrase should
take care to define their use of it. They should also state that
it is not found in the Bible.”

I don’t, at this point, want to add more to the writers’ words. They both eloquently explained the destiny of Israel and the church and so I recommend the readers who want to see the truth in the right perspective, to read the books. You may also visit their websites and search on Israel topics.

Finally, I emphasize that the ultimate source of truth is the Bible and so read it over, asking the Holy Spirit to show you the truth from His point.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”

With love, in Yeshua,

Cynthia

On Praying for Israel

https://i0.wp.com/www.jewishpost.com/images/news/images/Jerusalem-9-28-lg.jpg

jewishpost images

Since walking in fellowship with the Lord, asking Him what is in His heart so I could pray in agreement with Him about an issue has been my way of praying. Yesterday, before going to the Monday prayer and intercession for Israel, I asked Him what was in His heart that He wanted me to share with the intercessors. The Holy Spirit whispered in my heart this word:

13 “Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.

Psalm 81 is a call to repentance. While it is not wrong to pray for the many issues affecting Israel especially the issue of security in the midst of all the threats to the nation’s very existence (and praise Him for answering those prayers), God wants us to remember to pray for the most important one – Israel’s repentance and for the Jews to acknowledge and receive Yeshua as their Messiah.

Israel has fallen into apostasy. Many are caught in religious traditions that have nothing to do with God and His Word. Others simply do not believe that God exists. Praise Him though, for the many Jews who believe in Yeshua their Messiah. May the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob increase their number.

In view of the above, here are some thoughts for the Christians regarding Israel:

To the Christians who supposedly love Israel, express that love by praying for the Jews. Attending pro-Israel gatherings and supporting everything Israel on social media are not in themselves true expression of that love if you do not also pray for them.

Going back to Hebraic roots to the extent of copying Israel’s religious traditions, becoming more Jewish than the Jews, is not the right way to support Israel. It may, in fact, put you in danger of going back to the bondage of the law. Sadly, many have fallen into that trap.

Those Christians who believe that Israel lost her status as God’s chosen nation because of disobedience  and so do not believe in supporting and praying for her, consider the word of the Lord through Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 31:31-38

31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,[a] says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

35 Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea,
And its waves roar
(The Lord of hosts is His name):

36 “If those ordinances depart
From before Me, says the Lord,
Then the seed of Israel shall also cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”

37 Thus says the Lord:

“If heaven above can be measured,
And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath,
I will also cast off all the seed of Israel
For all that they have done, says the Lord.

38 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the city shall be built for the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39 The surveyor’s line shall again extend straight forward over the hill Gareb; then it shall turn toward Goath. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the Lord. It shall not be plucked up or thrown down anymore forever.”

In all our praying and standing for Israel, let us consider God’s heart and agree with His plans and purposes.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia
