The Lord is Shaking the Nations

Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the two most destructive natural forces that battered the US and neighboring islands, the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico just when Irma was smashing the Caribbean have exposed many people’s thoughts. Even Christians are divided. Some are saying these are judgments from God while others do not really think they are. I am sharing here not what I think it is, but what I heard and received from the Lord.

In the morning of August 14, 2017, while I was praying and taking communion, I had a vision. I saw the world shaking. Then I saw Captain America in a similar heroic pose below, and heard, “Here’s Captain America, but America can’t save the world.”

The world is being shaken, and America, the world’s known savior, cannot save it as she is also being shaken. My vision was on August 14, the solar eclipse was on the 21st, Harvey hit Texas on the 25th and Irma hit Florida on Sunday,  September 10. Heaven is calling the world’s attention. If you are not convinced here’s what I heard and received from the Lord in 2011 in a powerful dream.

On March 6, 2011, the Lord came to me while I was in bed around 2:30 am. He put something in my hands. I asked, “What’s this, Lord?” He said, “Rod.”  I said in excitement, “I want to see and feel it.”  I saw and felt the rod. It was a foot long, like a T but the horizontal bar was barely thicker than the rod itself, luminous and very smooth. I said, “If this is real, I want to try it, Lord.” So, I tilted the cover of the lampshade with the tip of the rod and it tilted.

Then I saw before me a wide screen with a slideshow. As each image appeared I asked, “What’s that, Lord?” The Lord said, “Watch, the vision will surely come to pass.”

What I saw were scenes of chaos though I could not figure out what caused them. I also saw a man in one of those chaotic background. He looked dead but then rose up as if he just slept. Then I saw a bride.

Then my attention was drawn back to the rod, because, surprisingly and amazingly, my right hand was shaking it involuntarily and beating my left hand. I exclaimed, “Wow, what’s this?” The Lord said, “I am shaking the nations with my rod.”  Then I asked, “What shall I do with the rod, Lord?” The Lord answered, “Put it in your pocket.” I said, “How?” He said, “Just do it.” I obeyed; amazingly, the rod coiled in my hand. I woke up as soon as I put it in my pocket.

The shaking of the nations began, at least for me, shortly after the encounter when the 9 magnitude earthquake with gigantic tsunamis struck and destroyed lives and properties in Japan. The Arab Spring also began in 2011 and we all know that Syria is still in war to this day. Hundreds of thousands have been killed in the on-going battle and multitudes have been displaced creating a refugee crisis that adversely affected much of the western world. Terrorism has since increased in an unimaginable violence especially in the wake of ISIS.

The shaking of nations has not stopped. The Philippines has had its own share of the shaking. To mention a few major events, two destructive earthquakes happened respectively in 2012 in Negros Oriental and in 2013 in Bohol. The worst typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) also happened in 2013, barely a month after the 7.2 magnitude Bohol earthquake. Zamboanga City was attacked in September of 2013 by Islamic forces wanting to take over the city, and, today, Marawi City is still in rubble since the ISIS affiliated Maute terrorists tried to overthrow the place to make it their new hub.

As I am writing this some parts of Metro Manila and nearby are flooded due to Tropical Depression Maring. Here are some of the headlines:

Maring Makes Landfall.., Threatens Metro Manila

13 Missing in Flooded Calamba City

Dramatic Rescue… Bus Swamped by Floods

Teen Brothers Buried in Landslide

I heard fellow Christians say it is cruel to speak about judgment when people are suffering. But such a view downplays the fact that Yahweh in His righteousness and mercy want people to repent and submit to His ways. But how can we repent when we don’t see our need to do so? And how can we see the need to humble and repent and turn from our wicked ways when all we want to see is a loving God incapable of disciplining us with life-shattering circumstances? Yahweh is slow to anger and abounding in love and does not want anyone to perish. But we must not forget that even His chosen people Israel were not spared when their rebellion and wickedness reached beyond tolerance. He is sovereign and in full control no matter what men do or think.

I pray that Yahweh’s children will have the courage to speak the truth- that the world lies in wickedness that warrants the intervention of a holy God. He is speaking loud and clear, calling people to repent and turn to Him. Let us not stand in the way by trying to sooth them with less than the hard truth when He is trying to get their attention. Heartbreaking as it is, it is truly a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Psalm 2

Why are the nations in an uproar,
the peoples grumbling in vain?
The earth’s kings are taking positions,
leaders conspiring together,
against Adonai
and his anointed.
They cry, “Let’s break their fetters!
Let’s throw off their chains!”

He who sits in heaven laughs;
Adonai looks at them in derision.
Then in his anger he rebukes them,
terrifies them in his fury.
“I myself have installed my king
on Tziyon, my holy mountain.”

“I will proclaim the decree:
Adonai said to me,
‘You are my son;
today I became your father.
Ask of me, and I will make
the nations your inheritance;
the whole wide world
will be your possession.
You will break them with an iron rod,
shatter them like a clay pot.’”

10 Therefore, kings, be wise;
be warned, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve Adonai with fear;
rejoice, but with trembling.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry,
and you perish along the way,
when suddenly his anger blazes.
How blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Repent now and be saved.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia

Praying Against Terrorism

I was not surprised when the Maute-ISIS terror group attacked Marawi City because I have dreamed about Islamic terrorism in the country since early 2010 or 2011. It will take time for me to go through all of my notes on these but I can remember that there is not a year that I didn’t have at least one dream of this sort that I can tell a few without the help of my journal. In most of my dreams, I was either hunted down or held captive by terrorists. The latest which was sometime last year was that I was one of the hostages as the whole place was invaded by the Islamic jihadists.

The most unusual of all was my encounter with a man in full black garb just like these terrorists in this photo.

Clarion Project: End of Times Prophecies Justify Beheading of Copts

It was around 8:00 o’clock in the evening of July 1, 2015, while I was walking home from the supermarket that I met a man in this black outfit. That part of the road was empty except for the two of us and the cars passing by. The lights were dim but I could see clearly as we were just a few steps away from each other when I noticed his unusual appearance. He probably saw me staring at him so he pulled down his big black umbrella to hide his face. That was also very unusual for him to have an umbrella at night since there was no rain, not even a drizzle. He turned to the side towards the perimeter fence pretending to fix something, but I knew he just avoided bumping on me. I also saw the black backpack on his back as I followed him with my eyes. I could not get my eyes off the unusual sight and so I kept turning back as I walked on until I reached the subdivision’s gate. I reported the incident to the guard on duty. For the last time I turned to look at the man but I could no longer see him.

I could not imagine where the man could be going as the direction he was taking was towards the commercial area which was about a hundred meters away. If he went there he would certainly attract everybody’s attention. But where could have he gone?

I called up my Father-in-law to report what I saw and asked if ISIS were already in Metro Manila. He brushed the story aside, telling me it was impossible and somehow lectured me why it was so. He was with the intelligence and so I supposed he would know. But like most of the leaders said in those days and until the incident in Marawi, there is no ISIS in the country.

I did not talk much about the things I saw because I thought, except for my kids and my Mom-in-law who was so concerned that she might be a target because of her Israel connection, nobody would believe me. However, deep in my heart I knew it was only a matter of time that violent jihad would rise its ugly head in this country.

I followed the news on this extremely violent and barbaric jihadists since they started attacking in 2014. I heard how our leaders dismissed the idea that the Abu Sayyaf had pledged allegiance to the terror group which prides itself as the new Islamic caliphate. I believed they had good reason to downplay the possibility- they didn’t want to raise an alarm and cause panic.

The article that bears the above image was in my inbox for the past two years. I marked it because of its relevance to what I have seen in the spirit, and, the above encounter which probably was a vision. Whether the man was for real or not, I believe the Lord made me see him to confirm what I have been dreaming and sensing for the past four or five years.

The article captured ISIS’ tweet that says, “Until Andalusia to Philippines returns to the hands of Muslims, defensive will go on. Only after that can it be labelled offensive.”

As one who grew up in Mindanao, the idea that the Philippines must one day return to the hands of Muslims is not unusual to me, although I used to think that the Muslims only claim Mindanao as originally belonging to them, and so the government’s never-ending negotiation with one Muslim militant group to another. Who could have thought that ISIS would come in the picture and vow to get the Philippines?

In my time with the Father earlier today, I asked Him how He wanted me and other believers to pray about the situation especially with the on-going conflict in Marawi. Our human tendency is to pray for the immediate end of the war; for the terrorists to be finished off with no one left as much as possible. Our sympathy is for the displaced innocent civilians and for the soldiers who fight with their lives these misguided and lost individuals. And most likely, that is how the Christians are praying which I am not saying is wrong. But the question is, how does Yahweh really want us to pray?

We see only the problem as they are and our praying is responsive to our natural instincts, but if we seek Him who knows everything, we will see that there is more to just praying for the end a conflict.

As I prayed earlier today, the Holy Spirit showed me what is in His heart. He wants to see us, the believers, on our knees, praying for the lost. Many are dying in Marawi and they are dying without hope. While we weep for the innocent and the soldiers, the Lord weeps even for the terrorists. We hail the heroes of Marawi but we forgot that the soldiers and civilians who died along with the terrorists have the same fate in eternity without Christ. And this is true in every nation fighting with terrorism and all kinds of conflicts.

Our nation and the nations of the world are crumbling yet the people of God are unconcerned. We need to start praying earnestly for the lost. When need to get serious with our call to be the light and salt of the world. Most importantly, we, His people, need individually and corporately to humble ourselves, seek His face, pray and turn from our wicked ways so that He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land. If we will do this, how quickly can He put an end to the conflict and stop the spread of terrorism.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, but can we truly say that our nation’s God is He? The task of praying for the nation and the world sounds overwhelming but it actually just begins with us humbling before Him and seeking His face. The prayer of a righteous man avails much; and we know that when we pray according to His will we will have what we ask for.

The Messiah is coming soon. May He find us faithful. May He find us praying and watching.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia

John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Ezekiel 33:11

11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.[b]

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

An Abomination: Vision of the Popes

Google Images

On January 10, 1:22 a.m. I had a vision of the Papal parade and I heard, “An abomination.” In this vision I saw not one but two Popes, Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis. In front of me was Pope John Paul II in the Papal car and Pope Francis was to my right. The former Pope visited the Philippines in 1981 and 1995. Pope Francis arriving today, January 15. As I saw the vision the following words of the Lord came to mind:

Matthew 23:9, “Do not call anyone on earth ‘Father’ for you have one Father and He is in heaven.

Mark 10:18, “Yeshua said to him, “Why are you calling me good? No one is good except God!”

I used to wonder why the Lord warned us to not call anyone on earth ‘Father’ when that is what we call our earthly fathers; and why would He say to not call Him good? Those questions were answered as I pondered on the vision above. His warning is about referring to any religious leaders as ‘Father,’  and in the case of the Popes, ‘Holy Father.’ As I realized this, I heard the Holy Spirit said, ‘Blasphemy!’

This vision is a warning to my country which is predominantly Roman Catholics. We are committing ‘blasphemy’ for calling the Pope ‘Holy Father;’ for giving him such an honor as if he is God. The true Church, the true believers of the Messiah must stand in the gap and pray for forgiveness of this sin.

One of the Pope’s purposes for coming is to meet with the different religious heads of the country to discuss unity and religious harmony. The Evangelical Church is also represented. Let this vision be a warning to the leaders of the Church and the Body. When God separates the wheat and the tares, which type will you be?

Matthew 13:30

“Let them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest-time I will tell the reapers to collect the weeds first and tie them in bundles to be burned, but to gather the wheat into my barn.”

Matthew 7:21

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.”

May the Father open your eyes to see that He alone deserves the honor, glory and praise and adoration!

Love in Christ Jesus,

Cynthia

Philippines, nation of idolatry, hear the Word of the Lord!

Update January 14, 2014

PNoy Declares January 20 National Day of Prayer and Solidarity

MANILA, Philippines – Following the series of calamities that tested the country’s resilience last year, President Benigno Aquino III has declared January 20 as National Day of Prayer and Solidarity…

…”Our unbreakable spirit and ability to recover find root in our firm belief in a benevolent God who has the perfect plan for all of us. These tragedies tell us that despite all our efforts, we are indeed powerless without God,” the President added.

It is very encouraging to hear the highest official of the land, the President of the Philippines, acknowledge that without God the nation is indeed powerless. I pray that everyone will take heed of his call to prayer. I pray that this day of national prayer be done according to His will. I pray that He will open the eyes of the Filipinos to give up false godliness and idolatry as we humble ourselves as a nation before Him. I pray that the True Church will take the lead in putting into action the Word of the Lord in 2 Chronicles 7:14 quoted twice in this article.

For all the readers and followers of this blog, please pray for the Philippines; and I thank everyone who is doing so, from the depths of my heart. The Lord bless and keep us all!

Cynthia

==============================================================================

My heart is heavy today as I see the ongoing Feast of the Black Nazarene on TV.  Since last week I have been praying for the Philippines as the pagan and idolatrous feast days are here again for another year. It is heartbreaking that majority of the Filipinos are blind about what they are doing for the religious idols of this nation. We have experienced real devastating calamities last year topped by Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) which left many places in Eastern Visayas in dire conditions to this day; yet as a nation, we have not awakened to the truth about our spiritual condition before the eyes of the Almighty.

As it Happens: Feast of the Black Nazarene

While the Filipinos blindly or ignorantly think that doing these religious feasts are pleasing God as they parade the idols they so believe as the image of God, the truth is that they are actually hurting Him. My dream on January 12, 2012 showed how such idolatry looks like in the spirit. This is what I wrote of the dream in “My Encounters with the Lord:”

On January 12, 2012, I dreamed of the Lord in His human form. I was with Him, singing praises to Him while He watched and listened intently. I remember singing 3 songs to Him. When I sang “He is Exalted,” His expression changed. His meek human eyes transformed into the fierce eyes of a lion. Then I thought, “Truly, He is the Lion of Judah.” Then the Lord hugged me. Oh, what a blessing I felt!

In another scene, I saw the Lord lying in an enclosed carriage. His head was bleeding profusely from the crown which was the crown of the “Sto. Nino.”

Note: The Sinulog Festival in Cebu which features the Sto. Nino is on the third Sunday of this month.

This picture below is similar to what I saw in the dream except that instead of a graven image, the Lord Jesus was Himself inside the carriage. He was very much alive and bleeding because of the crown stuck upon His head.

The Retovado Review: Good Friday, Bago City, Negros Occidental

Idolatry is not only abominable to God; it is deeply hurting Him. It is like killing Him over and over or making Him dead as I felt in the dream while He’s actually alive. My heart aches as I recall the sobering scene in my dream. People were so insensitive and blind that they didn’t seem to see what I witnessed of the Lord inside the encased carriage. Filipinos wake up! You are not pleasing Him nor worshiping Him with such abomination of parading the graven images and going crazy over those idols as if they truly can do you good. See for yourself what God says of graven images and bowing to them.

The first 3 commandments (Exodus 20:2-7) that God Himself wrote on stone tablets and handed to Moses are centered about who He is and how men should honor Him; and what He does to those who violate those commands. Doing those things are in fact hatred towards God.

Exodus 20

And God spake all these words, saying,

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Sadly, the Roman Catholic Church altered the commandments of God significantly by removing the second commandment (Exodus 20:4-6) that speaks against making and bowing to a graven image of any likeness either in heaven above or on earth below. The unsuspecting masses believe that there is nothing wrong with the 10 Commandments as they remain 10 in the RCC version. They did it by summarizing and splitting the last commandment in two parts namely:

“Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife;

Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s goods.

God is visiting the iniquities of the Filipinos from generation to generation. It is a never-ending cycle of curse until we renounce this sin of idolatry and learn to worship only Him. The article I wrote after the Super Storm in November last year spoke of more disasters coming to this nation. After then, the Lord gave me more dreams of judgment against this nation of religious shrines and idols. I dreamed of another earthquake with an ensuing tsunami. I dreamed twice of great floods, one hits  Visayas and the other Metro Manila; particularly submerged was Quezon City especially around Sto. Domingo Church. At another time in my prayer, I saw Robinson’s Galleria and the Edsa Shrine falling from a strong earthquake. On December 10 last year, around lunchtime, I had a vivid dream of civil unrest suggesting Makati area and spreading to different parts of Metro Manila. In that dream, while the President was appealing to the public to be calm as the situation was already under control, another explosion was heard somewhere.

Will these dreams and visions come to pass? I pray that they will not. And here’s what the Lord gave me that He may not bring judgments in this nation. On Dec. 18, 2013 I woke up around 4:00 a.m. with this message:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

But who are the people of God that He wants to come to Him? The Christian Church!

It is easy to point fingers to the Roman Catholics whose idols are very visible; and never mind their way of life because we know that righteousness without Christ is as filthy as rags (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 10:3). But what about the so-called Christian Church? The Lord also sees idolatry, worldliness and indecency within the Christian Church. This is how the Lord showed me the spiritual sickness of the Church.

On February 13, 2011, I dreamed that I was a bride; but my unknown groom and I could not move from where we were as the highway was so filthy. Black and foul mud filled the huge highway. The following day I dreamed of two brides again. They were my roommates who were also sisters. The older bride was wearing an indecent gown that exposes some flesh which is the exact opposite of her actual wedding dress when she got married. The younger bride’s gown looked wholesome but she was immersed in herself as she listened to the music on the radio. The song was expressing grief over the unfairness of life and sounded very worldly. As the song ended I heard the DJ said, “Why not just commit suicide?”

Since I was not yet adept to prophetic dreams, I could not make sense of these dreams about “brides.” I prayed for understanding and the Lord answered and woke me up not many days later with this message, “The bride is the Church.”

In another unforgettable dream sometime in 2012, I was caught between going to the Church uphill or the Church on the plain. This Church on the plain is a real church in Quezon City. I was in a park on a plateau  in between; I looked up to the one uphill and saw no one there. I looked down on the Church below and saw many going that way. I decided to go where people streamed. As I stood on the doorway I immediately noticed the disarray contrary to how this church appears in reality. The youth whom I know in reality as highly disciplined especially during worship, were very unruly and noisy. They were eating and laughing in the kitchen which was separated only by a curtain from the worship hall. The congregation which is also normally well-mannered and formally dressed in reality, appeared the opposite in the dream. Some where on walking shorts and slippers, some in their house dress and some barefoot. I realized that I too was barefoot as in a hurry I forgot my sandals in the park. I ran outside to go back and get my sandals; and I almost stumbled as I was going to step on the graven idols buried on the stone pavement just enough to conceal them from the surface. I stopped to look at the idols and I was aghast.

In fairness with this Church in Quezon City, the Lord revealed that this situation runs rampant in many churches in the Philippines, both big and small ones.

My dream of the two brides above had a second scene just as my dream of myself as a bride had another scene; but I will reserve that part for another article which speaks of the judgment that begins in the House of God. Meanwhile, I appeal to the Church, consider your ways and remember your first love. We cannot help those who are lost in religious idolatry and other manners of ungodliness in this nation unless we live up to our calling as the righteous and holy “Bride of Christ.” The fate of our nation, the Philippines, depends on us, the people of God. Hear His word today!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land!

With love in Christ Jesus,

Cynthia

The Good Things about Christmas

image

http://www.antiochian.org/node/16840

Christmas is a topic that is hotly contested among the believers. Some are convinced it is not for the True Church to join in the celebration of the world’s most popular holiday that is pagan in origin while others believe that celebrating the holiday with the right focus and right attitude is good and acceptable. I, personally, do not promote the commercialism of Christmas nor the greediness and selfishness and worldliness that come with it, but I do believe that the holiday has some good things about it. And this article is not intended to argue who is right or wrong but merely to share what I have seen as the good things that we can thank and praise God for because of the holiday. I also believe that God in His sovereignty can always do something good out of the bad things we humans do if we are sensitive to His leading and not put Him in a box to fit our very limited views. Another important thing I want to point out is that while the date and the world’s manner of celebrating the occasion are of pagan origin, let it be emphasized that the birth of the Saviour which became the popular story called Christmas is not pagan. It is heavenly and Biblical.

Christmas to me has always been a happy time of the year because it is the most intimate occasion for me and my family since childhood. It continues to be so though my siblings and I are all grown up and have our own families as well. This season has become more meaningful and significant because this is the only time of the year when we can gather around our parents and bring our own children to bond with the bigger family; thus, I am forever grateful to the Father for this opportunity that the season brings.

While I do not anymore bother with the stresses of Christmas, my family still do; about that, I cannot do anything but just pray and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. But as we have all been taught, we also teach our children what the true reason for the season is. Regardless of the date of the Saviour’s birth, we know that once upon a time the Lord Jesus Christ was born in a manger and grew up and ministered to men and went on to die on the cross for the sins of men and rose again and ascended up to heaven and is coming back very soon. We know that this boy in the manger as we see in the “Nativity Scene” is God and man who came for the lost and without Him is death.

This truth was made clearer to my children and nephews when in Church, the speaker preached the message of the Gospel in light of the occasion, fit for the young minds and the Holy Spirit touched the kids that deeper understanding came upon them. The youngest ones described the tears they could not control as they prayed the prayer of repentance and acceptance of the Lord Jesus into their lives. The teens also described their experiences. My son who received Jesus while he was around 7 years old described an unusual burning sensation that started from his feet up to his head that he didn’t want to end and begged of the Lord for more of Him. My oldest nephew went on his knees when he could not resist the heavy anointing of the Holy Spirit for the first time in his young Christian life. This anointing was also felt by the younger nephew that he just put his hand on his eyes to hide the tears and steadied himself as he was trembling in the manifest presence of God. All these happened on Christmas Eve.

After the service they went caroling in the neighborhood, singing songs only that speak the Truth and distributing food and gifts to the less fortunate. This is unusual to them because the Filipino practice, even of the many Christian churches here in the country,  caroling is a means for fund-raising; this practice often burdens the people and cause them to turn their lights off to avoid the carolers. So, this different way of caroling made the children’s Christmas and even the grown ups with them, a most unforgettable one as they felt the joy of giving instead of receiving; and at the crucial time of having just received from the Father what they call  the most wonderful experience with Him. To those who received from the carolers, the love of God which is the reason for His coming into this world and dwelling among men became real in a most unexpected way. The message of Christmas was delivered with such power and reality.

So, while we shun the pagan practices of the many churches, let us rejoice with those who, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, celebrate the season as an opportunity to bring glory to His name and reach out to the world with His love instead of scorn. And yes, the Church had Christmas party and the children got goodies and played games to enjoy.

Happy holidays to all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

In His love,

Cynthia

A Quick Message and a Word of Thanks

As you all have seen, the Philippines has been battered again by the recent super typhoon Haiyan. It is very devastating to see the aftermath of the raging storm which left much damage and casualties in the areas most affected.

Bohol, our province was spared from this disaster (although there is one reported death in Danao) except that we lost power since the storm hit in the early morning of Nov. 8, Friday. I am now doing this post in an internet shop in Island City Mall (ICM) here in Tagbilaran City which, by the way, is using generators to power up.

As a result of the loss of electricity, the only source of news we have now is my father’s battery operated transistor radio. Thanks to his undying love for transistor radio which is the only unaffected gadget in this age of high technology. Another thing that is most affected is Bohol’s water supply. On my way here from Panglao, I could see people lining up with water containers on some generator-operated water source. Praise God, we have a deep well right in our backyard, a step away from our kitchen door. Drawing water manually from a very deep well isn’t as bad as looking for it elsewhere and lining up with many others everyday after the storm.

I am shocked at the photos of the damage caused by the super typhoon, particularly in Tacloban City. The images reminds me again of the 7.9 earthquake and the ensuing tsunami which devastated my hometown Pagadian City in 1976.

Yolanda’ Kills at least 10,000, official says

On the news today is another storm named “Zoraida” heading for Mindanao.  Praise God, this storm is not as bad as “Yolanda,” so they say.

Thank you everyone, for praying for us and the Philippines. Thanks for all the comments on the recent posts. I am sorry that I cannot answer your comments this time as my time is running out.

Please continue to pray for the Philippines as I had another dream yesterday of an earthquake and tsunami. I don’t know if that would be literal or that the Lord was simply telling me that more shaking is coming; and it was His way of assuring me that whatever happens, we (me and my family) will be protected. In the dream, we could not get out of the house anymore as the tsunami came right after the earthquake, but the waves, though they covered the two-storey house in my dream, didn’t get in the house and we were all safely tucked inside. This morning I dreamed again of an earthquake. There was nothing else in the dream but the strong tremor just like my dream sometime last year.

For my countrymen, please look up to God, call on His name. Give your life only to the Lord Jesus Christ and not to some saints or t0 Mary. Jesus is the only way; He alone saves; He alone deserves worship, praises and honor. Give him your life while you can. The shaking of the world will continue for the Messiah is coming very very soon!

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia

Another Disaster Looming the Philippine Islands as Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Enters

Classes resumed today here in Bohol after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake on October 15. School was supposed to resume yesterday, Nov. 5, but local authorities called it off the day before because of heavy rains caused by a Low Pressure Area locally named “Wilma.” While the children were all in school the authorities again announced this afternoon that classes in all levels, public and private schools are suspended tomorrow and Friday (Nov. 7 & 8) as Super Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) is heading towards Eastern Visayas. The Philippines is on for another disaster with the approaching super storm.

Philippines Braces for Typhoon Haiyan, Places 9 Regions Under Blue Alert, Likely to Develop into Category 4 Hurricane, Bohol Under Red Alert

It was on July 10 this year that I heard a message from the Lord that there would be “many, many disasters across the Philippines.” I noted it in my journal but honestly, I have forgotten about it until I inadvertently saw it during the time that Zamboanga City was under siege.

Since July 10, there have indeed been many disasters, natural and man-made, taking place in different areas in this country; the most recent being the earthquake that hit our province, Bohol. The province was the epicenter of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that devastated many towns, claimed at least 200 lives, left people homeless and destroyed buildings and infrastructures including ancient churches. Praise God, Panglao Island where I live was spared from the tragic event although we felt the tremor very strongly.

Loon Town in Bohol Hardest Hit by Quake

God is shaking the nations as the day of the Messiah’s return is at hand. The Philippines is certainly not exempt from the shaking which is meant to wake up people to seek God while He may be found. It is my prayer that my countrymen come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, receive Him as Savior and Lord, the only way to the Father; and repent from all forms of idolatry, immorality and all manners of wickedness.

May the True Church, the Body of Christ wake up and stand up and be a true witness in purity and holiness for the One True God who is holy and righteous and just.

Love in Christ Jesus,

Cynthia
