A Message for the Church: Are You Ready to Die a Martyr’s Death?

This article is not meant to scare you but to let you think hard and consider the option of dying a martyr’s death if “rapture” doesn’t come before or during the great tribulation. I do not mean to argue with anyone on the timing of the event which the Christians are holding on to in the hope of escaping the severe persecution that is coming to the Body of Christ. The purpose of this article is to call for preparation, not by hoarding food and supplies, but preparation of the heart, mind and spirit that we may be able to stand in our faith and not renounce our Lord and Messiah Yeshua when faced with death by whatever means, even death by the sword, gallows or guillotine.

Since the Lord opened my spiritual senses and gave me revelations of the end-time events unfolding in our time, I have never received anything about the Church’ popular hope and belief which is the rapture. If the awaited rapture will take place before the tribulation, that’s something we all greatly welcome; but what if it doesn’t happen? Have you ever considered the possibility of it not coming to pass and instead, be martyred for the faith you so profess today? Rapture of the “True Church” may come, but the word of the Lord in the Book of Revelations is also clear that there are those who will die for proclaiming the Word of God.

Revelation 6:9-11 (CJB)

When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been put to death for proclaiming the Word of God, that is, for bearing witness. They cried out in a loud voice, “Sovereign Ruler, HaKadosh, the True One, how long will it be before you judge the people living on earth and avenge our blood?” Each of them was given a white robe; and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow-servants should be reached, of their brothers who would be killed, just as they had been.

Revelation 7:13-14 (CJB)

One of the elders asked me, “These people dressed in white robes- who are they, and where are they from?” “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” Then he told me, “These are the people who have come out of the Great Persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb.

Did it ever occur to you that you could be one of those who will die a martyr’s death for the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach? Did you ever consider going through such Great Persecution and persevere?

Since the very vivid dream I had last year of me and my family marching our way to the guillotine, the feeling didn’t leave me that it may, in the near future, take place. For the past few weeks, this feeling has been coming strongly over and over especially when I read a piece of document talking about “extremism.” I believe all the more that the Great Persecution is already at the doorsteps. Everyone who speaks against wickedness and calls sin “SIN” is, to the world, an extremist. The world we live in has turned upside down. Standing for righteousness and holiness in God’s standard and perspective is labeled as “right-wing extremism.”  Standing against abortion and other (im)moral issues is extremism and put one in the checklist of those whom the authorities are closely watching. Where does all this lead the ‘True Church’ which means the real, genuine Christians standing for the one true God and all that He has taught us? Are we not all candidates for persecution even unto death? The complacent, apathetic and compromising believers might be safe for now, but where will that lead them if they don’t make their stand?

The Lord’s message for the Church still rings:

“I will visit the Church and shake her with violent shaking to separate those who are truly Mine from those who are not. I will wake up the believers before pouring out My wrath upon the land. I will cause my children to arise and speak up boldly against all the wickedness in the land; I will pour out my grace through men and women who hear Me, to call people to repentance while there is time. Those who will hear and repent will be saved but those who harden their hearts will certainly perish!”

Christians who are still asleep and comfortable, beware! Don’t wait for the Lord to shake you violently to wake you up. The days ahead are not getting any better and brighter as most often proclaimed in the pulpits. We are in the days of trouble not favor in view of the world. The favor of the Lord will not leave us as we truly abide in Him; for His favor is His glory that surrounds us like a shield; but it does not make us comfortable in this world. The favor of the Lord instead will make us more undesirable to the world, more unpalatable as His glory shines in us and through us, in direct contrast to all the evil that so filled the world and held it captive unto satan, the devil. Make up your mind and make your stand. Train yourself and be ready unto battle. Warfare is what we face each day. Be rather persecuted by the world for doing what is right, standing in holiness for the coming of the bridegroom, than wounded by the Lord for doing wrong, living as the rest of the world lives.

Will you cooperate with the Lord or resist Him and be caught unprepared? Are you willing to lay down your life for Him in the coming tribulation? Then start laying down your life today by giving Him full control, allowing Him to lead you and direct you in everything. Yield to the Lord Jesus, cling, abide, and hold on to the anchor of your soul.

Again, brothers and sisters, are you willing to be one of those martyrs in the Book of Revelations? Are you ready to die a martyr’s death for our Lord and King Messiah Yeshua, Jesus Christ? If you’re scared, here’s what our Savior says:

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are powerless to kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in Gei-Hinnom (hell). Matthew 10:28 (CJB).

Much love in Christ,

Cynthia

  1. Dear Cynthia,
Amen and amen! We all need to encourage each other with the Truth of YAHWEYS Words, for they are Spirit and life to our souls. What you said was very important. May FATHER bless and protect you in every way and yes, may HE prepare us to do HIS will.

  2. And just one more thought: are not our brethren all over the world suffering persecutions, imprisonments, separations from families and death? Yes. And we need to be lifting them in prayer as they go through their final hours.

  4. Americans are too polite to talk about this subject. In America, “if we’d only pray for revival then America would be great again and we can go along forgetting what by a Christian is REALLY about”

Very rarely is this subject addressed, and then not in much detail about how horrible that death might be. How sad for those when reality strikes.

    • Hi brother, sorry for my late reply. I hibernated to spend more time with the Lord.

Actually, I prayed hard for courage to write about this for I believe this is one important matter that Christians should really consider. We are in perilous times and we don’t know who are watching us and where they are. We know that in some countries Christians are persecuted everyday, but seldom is it discussed, or never at all in churches which enjoy freedom of assembly and expression. We need to be watchful and praying without ceasing, for in such a time, the only strength that will sustain us is no less than what the Lord Himself can provide. On our own, we can’t stand.

      Blessings to you in Yeshua,

      Cynthia

  5. Shalom Cynthia,
time well spent in prayer. The LORD has given you very loving words for this “hot” and very important matter. May Yeshua open the eyes of HIS Bride to see HIS truth very clear, as outlined in HIS loving and living Word!
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints (Ps. 116:15).”

  6. Hi Alexandra.

Thank you, dear sister, for such an encouraging word. I am praying fervently that many will see clearly what is coming so as not to be caught unprepared.

    Blessings in Yeshua,

    Cynthia

  7. Cynthia, the modern military guillotines are very real: I have been documenting them since 1995 through Pentagon/military, CIA and trucker sources(truckers have been delivering them nationwide to closed military facilities.) A Christian NAVY source stationed in the Phillipines, home on leave for surgery, told me that the guillotines are in their military warehouses there:16 feet high and totally black, even the blade. They are directly tied in with the NOAHIDE LAWS and also Revelation 20:4 as well.Everywhere I have lectured on the NWO agenda and mentioned guillotines and Christian beheading, Christians have come up afterwards and told me of THEIR dreams/visions of being beheaded for their faith by the guillotines. You have received an accurate revelation from the Holy Spirit. I preach martyrdom constantly through my reports, and Christians preparing to face these things in our generation. God bless you, dear!-Pamela Rae Schuffert

    • Hi Pamela,

Thank you for sharing such an important information. This thing has really gripped me and I have been burdened to share what the Lord has revealed to me. I believe that true Christians should really prepare and not just relax and wait for the rapture. I am apprehensive that if rapture doesn’t come as many are expecting, and they have not prepared for this possibility, they may not be able to stand. I really pray that true believers will brace themselves spiritually for whatever is coming in the near future.

      Love in Yeshua,
      Cynthia

  8. Shalom Pamela,
thank you from the bottom of my heart for this important information. Some months back we found out about that. We stopped researching it more because my husband had some doubts about the presentation. I have always felt to raise our children towards giving up their lives in martyrdom. My daughter’s favorite scripture is the one I mentioned in the previous post (Psalm 116:15).
May Yeshua prepare us for this service unto HIM and for HIS glory alone.
    Blessings in HIS name,
    Alexandra

  9. Hi Cynthia!

I was reading John 16 the other day and remembered this post of yours about martyrdom. “A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you… These things I have spoken, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.”

I remember a video of pastor Paul Washer at a symposium saying that when persecution comes in the US, Christians won’t be arrested simply for religious reasons and seemingly honorable charges, but most likely will be set up and falsely accused of shameful, criminal acts.

    Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7UyZYpeReY

Indeed Matthew 10 says “You will be hated by all on account of My name… If they called the master of the house `Beelzebub,’ how much more will they call those of his household! Therefore do not fear them… those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul…” (Parallel verses in Luke 21.)

Wary of where your writings might lead you? Take heart, “are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? You are of more value than many sparrows… Whoever confesses Him before men, him will He also confess before His Father in heaven.” You are doing a noble thing indeed!

I just wonder about the part that says “not a hair of your head shall be lost.” I wonder how that ties in with the guillotines, torture, and other possible forms of killing and physical abuse. :-/ Shudders.

I saw an article saying that logically speaking, indeed it doesn’t make sense why modern, civilized societies would resort to using guillotines when there are numerous other ways of capital punishment which are faster, simpler, cheaper (and if I might add, less messier). The author says it’s so they could conduct organ harvest and make money – big money – out of the bodies. Morbid, isn’t it? I’ve heard it said elsewhere before, too, but this lady explains it in greater depth. The politics and economics behind it all. It is sordid and downright base – something only Satan himself could think of!

I don’t know if the writer is Christian though. She’s well-versed in religious terminology and seems to know a lot but the photo of her is so uncharacteristic of a true believer, to say the least. :-/

Hi Ms. Shuffert, I’m so pleased to find you here! My husband and I came upon your blog about 2 years ago when we started getting our eyes opened to the reality of the coming persecution (FEMA camps, Noahide laws, etc) in the USA and possibly worldwide. I so admire your courage for putting out all that information! Yahweh continue to direct and lead you to relevant info that the Church needs so badly to hear, at this very critical hour. Thank you for blowing the trumpet! May the Lord keep you safe under the shadow of His wings. 🙂

    • Hi Jess,

Sorry for my long silence. I am actually observing the Lord’s Feasts, and had some struggles along the way too. But the Lord is always good…

Well, thanks for the informative comment. Wow, morbid indeed but certainly it makes sense. Guillotine is safe enough for the human organs to be useful for money; and I like how the writer of the article you shared here, put it as regards the prophecy of beheading in Revelations:

“The prophecy declares that some WILL be killed by guillotine, and that is what must occur. So, the enemy will eventually figure out ways to get this done. NOT because they believe the prophecy, and want to do as the Almighty declares in that prophecy. Not at all! The fact is, the Lord SAW this end result from the beginning and decided to tell us in advance in His prophetic Word. The wicked are merely doing what the Almighty already saw them do long ago. In other words, They WILL do it! Because our Lord SAW them do it!”

And yes, we are no greater than our Master and Lord Jesus Christ, and no better than the saints who were ahead of us. They were persecuted to death, so why must it be different for us and our generation? We must be prepared spiritually and mentally, lest we fall.

Abundant blessings to you, dear sister!

  10. Yes time will come when the State will criminalize the act of believing in Jesus Christ and following Him. The world is gonna come to full circle, when Christians have to endure persecution and live in catacombs as Paul did during his time. The Word of God warned us beforehand of some arrests happening. But it is during the darkest years of history that faith in God had thrived because the light always become brightest during the darkest hour. Even Paul had successfully written Epistles when he was chained and under house arrest in Rome.

A Question every professing Christian should consider is: When that time comes when the State orders the warrantless arrest of all believers and followers of Jesus Christ, would the authorities find enough evidence to convict you of that crime? Or are they gonna set you free from that guillotine after the roundup for lack of evidence?

    • Great comment; and very good point on the lack of evidence for those who will be rounded up as professing Christians. The question further is, will you be happy to get off the hook or sad to miss the guillotine for obvious reason? Christians wake up!

  11. it’s a good word and true that believers need to fully consider. There are many scriptures about persecution, hebrews 10 and 11 are summations perhaps, and many today are persecuted, unto death, seizure/loss of possessions and means to live, and other. We do need also to be close to the Lord, enough to accept the seizure of ours or worse with the joy of the Lord still alive knowing we have a better inheritance and enduring substance..close enough to repeat, forgive them they know not what they do. I used to at times discuss, or try to bring it up, with fellow believers and would notice that rapture idea’s can be used as escapism, and with that those who are escapists aren’t prepared for persecutions which will come, to whatever degree and each individual and God’s plans and purposes for each…

I’d settle on..it’s better to be prepared in Spirit heart and mind to go all the way..and if the catching up comes before..then what a bonus, but to be un-prepared..say when property is seized(which would be a step before further things) we’d lash out, even curse and other-unlike they did in hebrews 10 example of joy despite it all. I’ve already seen this lashing out and growing lack of love as the world waxes worse and things are “seized” through simple taxation etc etc.
Finally love…it will take great love to-knowing if we speak with patience and grace the gospel truth-might very well be beaten or worse, to do it anyway as led by the Lord, the love only comes from the Lord Jesus, so must must draw and walk closer to Him.

as an encouragement, there is a certain boosting, infilling of the Holy Spirit under those circumstances, overwhelming un-understandable sheer joy and love..and no fear. I read that steven even shone

    • Hi Bread,

Thank you for the excellent comment. Indeed, it is better to be prepared for anything than be despair and discouraged when the worst comes instead of the rapture. It is better to be strong in spirit, mind and soul by the power of the Holy Spirit as we march on in these tumultuous days.

I believe that like Stephen, the Lord will open our eyes to see His glory in times of great persecution unto death. I believe that our Messiah will give us supernatural inner resolve to face our persecutors just as He had to endure the cross.

      Abundant blessings,
      Cynthia

  12. I am so glad I saw this because I have been thinking the same thing and when I try to talk with other Christian friends they don’t want to consider the fact that the Rapture may never happen. Everyone thinks they will get a free pass. I have been hoping and looking for evidence of it pre-trib but cannot find it. I think it happens. Post trib before the wrath. I too have had dreams about His return and I remember clearly beint prostr on the ground before him and I was terrified. Because I knew this was his judgement. Jesus is not a weak God for sure.

    • Hi Kelly,

There may be a rapture before the tribulation, but it is not for all who profess to be Christians but only for the very few, the Remnant or the True Church, those who have walked the very narrow way to the Kingdom. This means only a handful from out of the world; those Christians or believers who have taken up the cross and bear it daily, not the worldly and compromising Christians. Those Christians who live as the world lives will have to face the troubles and make the difficult choice to either keep their faith in the Lord or deny Him to avoid persecution. I believe that as has been the Lord’s way throughout the Bible, He will bring His own to safety before He pours out His wrath upon the earth. Thus, we must submit unto His lordship and obey Him carefully and follow where He leads

  13. Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for all your messages. I love to see your heart on fire for God!

I believe in pre-trib rapture. I don’t know who will be counted worthy to be raptured, but I believe that FAITH is the key, not works. I believe that we are not subject to His wrath. I long for His return, not only because I don’t want to be left behind to face the great tribulation, but also because I love and miss Him so much I can’t wait to be with Him forever. Christians are already being persecuted around the world one way or another at different intensity, but it is the Holy Spirit who is faithful to sustain us, we can’t do it on our own strength. There are people who have had both dreams on persecution and rapture, the dreams served as a warning to others. I personally feel that just because you haven’t dreamed on rapture doesn’t mean that rapture is false teaching or that you are destined to die for Christ. (forgive me if my feeling is wrong ;-)!) I guess I wanted to encourage you that instead of focusing on being martyred for Christ (where fear might slowly creep in), look up and BELIEVE that He is coming back for us, for our redemption is near! God bless you much and I hope to meet you in the air ;).

    Lee

    • Hi Lee,

Thank you for the encouragement. I believe that there’s going to be a rapture but I don’t subscribe to its definite timing as pre or post trib. I believe though that if the rapture takes place before the tribulation, the only ones who are going are those who have lived the faith with their lives, following the Lord in every way and not for everyone who simply confess the Lord with their mouth. The Lord Jesus Christ is not going to have a filthy bride. I am also not worried about being martyred for my heart is prepared. I believe that as Christians we must be prepared for both martyrdom and rapture. In fact, we know that many Christians across the globe especially in the Middle East and Africa are constantly persecuted, many of whom have actually died. Here’s one website featuring persecution of Christians today.

      http://www.persecution.org/

As you mentioned, the dream is a warning for the Church that’s why I wrote the article. It is meant to open our eyes to the reality that as true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we face the danger of persecution especially when we speak boldly against sin and stand steadfastly in God’s eternal righteousness, not to discourage but simply to call for preparedness lest we faint and fall in our faith. I pray this for all the saints around the world.

      Blessings in Yeshua,

      Cynthia

  14. A Dream I had About The Rapture

I had a dream, 05/24/2012, and in the dream, I saw Jesus standing with a winnowing fork in His hand. A winnowing fork is what is used to separate the wheat from the chaff like John the Baptist describes in Matthew 3:12 and Luke 3:17. However, in this case I did not get the sense in the dream that this had to do with final judgment bur rather had to do with who would be taken and who would be left behind. I saw in the dream the rapture occurring and I saw people in two’s as is described in Matthew 24:40-41 where it talks of two men in the field, one taken and one left and two women with a hand-mill, one taken and the other left. In the very next verse Jesus gives a warning that must be heeded by all which is to be watchful because you do not know the day not the hour of the Lord’s return, As I previously stated, I saw people in two’s as the rapture occurred and as the ones being taken began to ascend towards heaven, those being left behind grabbed onto their shoes, I saw tennis shoes on those being taken and am not quite sure of the meaning, because they knew what was happening and that they were being left behind. The last thing that I heard was Luke 21:36 being quoted, ” WATCH THEREFORE AND PRAY ALWAYS THAT YOU MAY BE COUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT WILL COME TO PASS, AND TO STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN.”

    • Hi Tony,

Thank you for sharing this very encouraging dream. It is indeed imperative that we all should be praying and watching, and of course, doing the will of the Father. I believe that the rapture is not for every professing believer but only for those who walk the narrow path, those whose lives are fully surrendered to His lordship. The complacent, compromising and worldly Christians should not expect to be included in the rapture if it takes place because they are not ready. Again, the Lord Jesus Christ will not take for Himself a filthy bride.

      Shalom,

      Cynthia

  15. Last night I had a strange dream, in the dream I was some kind of missionary but I wasn’t me I was someone else. I was serving God but I didn’t know the name of the mighty God I was serving; all I know is he was the mighty God who ruled the Universe. Other missionaries who were with me knew the name of the God we were serving but they never told me his name. I vowed to serve my God for the rest of my life even though I did not know his name. I prayed to my all powerful God every day. But by serving my God I was offending a lot of powerful people and leaders in the area. There was this one priest in the village where we were, who really hated me. He told me that this God I was serving was not real. That he did not want me serving some God who did not exist. He told him I needed to serve him because he was the priest and I could obtain salvation only through him. But I ignored this priest because I knew he was lieing to me. This priest was very selfcentered and he had many people of the village decieved into believing the could only come to this mighty God through him and him only. But when they came to him he led them astray. But anyway I kept serving my God for years and through the years many of the people started to listen to me. This made this priest very angry and he started to make threats against me. He told me very bitterly that the day would come when he was going to make me pay for the crimes I was committing against him, but he also told me I could repent and all my sins would be forgiven. But I ignored him and went on serving my God. This priest continued to get angrier and angrier as the days went by. Finally the day came when the priest was able to turn the people against us (There must have been 100 of us or more). The Priest lied about us to the people and made the people very angry to where they wanted to kill us. So the leaders had all of us arrested. We were taken into a small room one by one & they told us if we quit all this nonsense of serving some unknown all powerful God they would let us go and give us anything we wanted. So many of the missionaries sold out and took the deal. There were ten of us who refused to sell out no matter what. Because we refused to sell out they tied us to wooden crosses and they told us we would die in the same our God died, on crosses. All ten of us who refused to sell out were hung on wooden crosses, and we had to wait to find out what our fate was going to be. Then they came for us. Since I was the one who was the biggest problem I would be executed first. So they put me in this big arena surrounded by angry people who were yelling at me and spitting in my direction. The priest came up to me and he gave me one last chance to renounce my delusion I called God. I refused, and the priest left the arena. Then the unleashed the angry crowd on me. The people were so angry and they started beating me with their fists. One angry young man came up and he had a big rock in his hand. He hit me in the head with the rock and knocked me out. When I was knocked out the crowd tore me from the cross with much violence. They had me on the ground beating me with clubs in such of a way it killed me. In my dream I died a Martyr’s death but I did not see them beating me on the ground because I was already dead. After I was knocked out and my body was dead, I was standing in this darkness. I knew I was dead but I couldn’t see anything but darkness, but I was happy because I knew the Mighty God I served until death was comeing for me to take me with me. I could feel within my soul that he was going to appear to me any second. I started thinking as I was waitig for him. My death was really not that bad. The young man who hit me in the head with a rock and knocked me out did me a favor because I didn’t feel a whole lot of pain when they killed me. Then I saw a light starting to pierce the darkness when I woke up in my bed. I think this is a warning to all Christians to get ready because many of us may have to die as Martyrs before the second coming of Christ. This is it, the day of reconing is here. This economic crash we are in will probably bring on a lot of persecution against Christians. We are only in the beginning of it, but it will get worse as the year goes forward. This is it!

  16. Hi Cynthia,

Very challenging article and I am stirred up.The comments of the folks on this forum are very insightful.
    God bless you all.

The Christendom today has waxed cold. Prosperity Gospel has overtaken the Original Gospel.
When people are challenged for their faith and ready to be killed in some parts of world. the other side of the world where 1000’s gather at a place and seek and pray for earthly things, material and menial things.

The Irony in Christendom today is “We Major on Minor and We Minor on Major”

May the Lord help us .May the Lord preserve the remnant that are pure, fearless, intimate, who would hold thier life cheap ready to fling it away for the Love of the One and Only who loved us so much and gave himself for us

Martyr’s are never buried they are sown.
I am always encouraged when i read about a true story in Asia

    http://www.wogim.org/martyrs.htm

May the Lord raise up more and more John the Baptist’s , Stephen’s etc

    Solomon Swarna

    • Hi Solomon,

I wrote this article in 2012, close to 4 years now but the message is not outdated and I thank you for coming to the blog and bringing it up again. Christians including me need to be reminded and stirred up from time to tme as it is very natural for us to slide back to complacency when things appear the same from the time a warning was given. The Bible is full of warnings; Paul and the other apostles warned the believers as if the end was imminent in their time and because the present generation still live today and in no different situation, it’s no wonder many don’t prepare as they think these things won’t happen to them, or at least, not in their time. But the persecution and killing of Christians has been going on to this day and so we ought to be prepared all the time because we do not know when our time will come as it has come to the many Christians in the middle east. We also must consider that Jesus stated it plainly that His return will be, “..as in the days before the flood people were drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark.”

    • Hi again, Solomon,

To continue with my message, when the Lord comes it will be business as usual and so we can safely say that the last days are here as the signs are more obvious today than they were decades or centuries ago. One of the most obvious signs is the apostacy of the Church as Paul declared in 2 Thes. 2:3. There has never been a time in the history of the church when Christians are as worldy and unholy as the rest of humanity. May the Lord continue to wake us up to be watchful and prayerful so that we will be ready and endure to the end.

      Thanks again and God bless.

      Cynthia

  17. Hi, evermore…

This is such a powerful dream and I wonder how I haven’t responded back then. Anyway, thank you for sharing such a detailed and profound dream. The Holy Spirit is certainly speaking and giving warnings to the Body of Christ. This shows He truly loves and cares for His children that instead of just letting the written Word, the Bible speak to us about the end of days, He speaks afresh through dreams and visions. But didn’t Jesus told us the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and tell us of things yet to come? That’s in John 16:13.

Thank you and sorry for long overdue reply. Blessing.

    Cynthia
