Standing with God on Israel!

Google Images

Yes, I am standing with God on His established plans and purposes for Israel! That should get to every reader’s heart and mind that what I am standing with Israel about is not political but rather Biblical and spiritual. This is how the Lord answered my question about how I should let the critics and naysayers know what I am really standing with and for Israel.

It was a few Sundays ago that while I was listening to the Messianic Pastor preached about God’s will and purposes for raising up Jacob/Israel that the Holy Spirit gently spoke that what was written on stage that says: “We Stand with Israel Now and Forever” should be “We Stand with God on Israel…”

Israel is the apple of His eye, whether we like it or not. It is His Word and no one has the right to twist its meaning although as children of God by adoption through the blood of the Messiah, we also become the apple of His eye. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel who is also my God is not shortsighted. He saw the end from the beginning. He is not surprised that Israel didn’t recognize the Messiah when He came, rejected Him and caused Him to be crucified; and He’s not surprised that many Jews still don’t recognize Him to this day. Didn’t He Himself cause them to be blind? Yes, He made them blind so that salvation would reach the gentiles. Now many of the gentile believers who call themselves Christians have also become blind that they do not see that their salvation by grace isn’t meant to replace Israel in His established plan for humanity. Many Christians are so blind that they so believe that they have replaced Israel in the heart of God. If that was God’s intention, to remove Israel and turn His heart to the gentiles, then He should have sent Jesus/Yeshua as a gentile and not a Jew. He would have been born outside of Israel and would not have been a Jewish Rabbi.

Furthermore and most importantly, the Father who revealed these things to me is not powerless to act on His Word so powerfully spoken in Ezekiel 36. Who dare say that the Word of the Lord here is not literal but only symbolic and applicable to the “spiritual Israel” and does not apply to the Land and people of Israel today? If you have no reverence for Him and His Word, then go ahead and interpret it the way you want it. But this is the basis for everyone who wants to stand with Israel. You must stand with God on His plans and purposes for Israel. Your prayer and intercession must be directed towards this end. If your standing for Israel is merely political and for the hype of it, forget it for you will only be frustrated and angry. Stand with God on Israel, stand with His Word. Remind Him day and night of His covenant with them, His promises for them and His purposes for them, for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ whom the Christian Church is waiting hinges on the Jews’ acceptance and acknowledgment of Him as their promised King and Messiah.

Matthew 23:38-39

38 Look! God is abandoning your house to you, leaving it desolate.[a] 39 For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai.’

Pay close attention to His message as you read Ezekiel 36. All the unbelieving Christian’s accusation of today’s Israel is addressed by the Lord clearly so that you have no excuse for denying Israel.

Ezekiel 36

36 “Now you, human being, prophesy to the mountains of Isra’el. Say: ‘Mountains of Isra’el, hear the message from Adonai. Adonai Elohim says: “The enemy is boasting over you, ‘Ha! Even the ancient high places are ours now!’ ” ’ Therefore prophesy, and say that Adonai Elohim says, ‘Because they desolated you and swallowed you up from every side, so that the other nations could take possession of you; and now people are gossiping about you and slandering you; therefore, mountains of Isra’el, hear the message of Adonai Elohim this is what Adonai Elohim says to the mountains and hills, the streams and valleys, the desolate wastes and the abandoned cities, now preyed on and derided by the other surrounding nations — therefore this is what Adonai Elohim says: “In the heat of my jealousy I speak against the other nations and all of Edom, since, rejoicing with all their heart, they have arrogated my land to themselves as a possession and, with utter contempt, seized it as prey.”’

“Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Isra’el, and say to the mountains, the hills, the streams and the valleys that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘I speak in my jealousy and fury, because you have endured being shamed by the nations. Therefore thus says Adonai Elohim: “I have raised my hand and sworn that the nations surrounding you will bear their shame. But you, mountains of Isra’el, you will sprout your branches and bear your fruit for my people Isra’el, who will soon return. I am here for you, and I will turn toward you; then you will be tilled and sown; 10 and I will multiply your population, all the house of Isra’el, all of it. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. 11 I will multiply both the human and animal populations, they will increase and be productive; and I will cause you to be inhabited as you were before — indeed, I will do you more good than before; and you will know that I am Adonai. 12 I will cause people to walk on you, my people Isra’el; they will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; never again will you make them childless.” 13 Adonai Elohim says, “Because they say to you, ‘Land, you devour people and make your nations childless,’ 14 therefore you will no longer devour people, and you will not make your nations childless any more,” says Adonai Elohim. 15 “I will not permit the nations to shame you, or the peoples to reproach you any longer; and you will no more cause your nations to stumble,” says Adonai Elohim.’”

16 The word of Adonai came to me: 17 “Human being, when the house of Isra’el lived in their own land, they defiled it by their manner of life and their actions; their way before me was like the uncleanness of niddah. 18 Therefore I poured out my fury on them, because of the blood they had shed in the land and because they defiled it with their idols. 19 I scattered them among the nations and dispersed them throughout the countries; I judged them in keeping with their manner of life and actions. 20 When they came to the nations they were going to, they profaned my holy name; so that people said of them, ‘These are Adonai’s people, who have been exiled from his land.’ 21 But I am concerned about my holy name, which the house of Isra’el is profaning among the nations where they have gone.

22 “Therefore tell the house of Isra’el that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘I am not going to do this for your sake, house of Isra’el, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have been profaning among the nations where you went. 23 I will set apart my great name to be regarded as holy, since it has been profaned in the nations — you profaned it among them. The nations will know that I am Adonai,’ says Adonai Elohim, ‘when, before their eyes, I am set apart through you to be regarded as holy.

24 For I will take you from among the nations,
gather you from all the countries,
and return you to your own soil.
25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you,
and you will be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your uncleanness
and from all your idols.
26 I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit inside you;
I will take the stony heart out of your flesh
and give you a heart of flesh.
27 I will put my Spirit inside you
and cause you to live by my laws,
respect my rulings and obey them.
28 You will live in the land I gave to your ancestors.
You will be my people,
and I will be your God.
29 I will save you from all your uncleanliness.
I will summon the grain and increase it,
and not send famine against you.
30 I will multiply the yield of fruit from the trees
and increase production in the fields,
so that you never again suffer the reproach
of famine among the nations.
31 Then you will remember your evil ways
and your actions that were not good;
as you look at yourselves, you will loathe yourselves
for your guilt and disgusting practices.
32 Understand,’ says Adonai Elohim,
‘that I am not doing this for your sake.
Instead, be ashamed and dismayed for your ways,
house of Isra’el.’

33 Adonai Elohim says, ‘When the day comes for me to cleanse you from all your guilt, I will cause the cities to be inhabited and the ruins to be rebuilt. 34 The land that was desolate will be tilled, whereas formerly it lay desolate for all passing by to see. 35 Then they will say, “The land that used to be desolate has become like Gan-‘Eden, and the cities formerly ruined, abandoned and wasted have been fortified and are inhabited!” 36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I, Adonai, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was abandoned. I, Adonai, have spoken; and I will do it.’

37 Adonai Elohim says, ‘In addition, I will let the house of Isra’el pray to me to do this for them: to increase their numbers like sheep — 38 like flocks of sheep for sacrifices, like the flocks of sheep in Yerushalayim at its designated times, in this degree will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am Adonai.’”

God is in the business of removing the veil from the eyes of both the Jews and the gentiles. For the Jews, that they will recognize Yeshua as the Messiah; and for the gentiles, that we will see and understand that our own place in His family is not to replace them but to provoke them to jealousy so that they will see their Messiah through us.

Psalm 122

(0) A song of ascents. By David:

(1) I was glad when they said to me,
“The house of Adonai! Let’s go!”
Our feet were already standing
at your gates, Yerushalayim.

Yerushalayim, built as a city
fostering friendship and unity.

The tribes have gone up there, the tribes of Adonai,
as a witness to Isra’el,
to give thanks to the name of Adonai.
For there the thrones of justice were set up,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for shalom in Yerushalayim;
may those who love you prosper.
May shalom be within your ramparts,
prosperity in your palaces.

For the sake of my family and friends, I say,
Shalom be within you!”
For the sake of the house of Adonai our God,
I will seek your well-being.

Philippians 1:9-11

And this is my prayer: that your love may more and more overflow in fullness of knowledge and depth of discernment, 10 so that you will be able to determine what is best and thus be pure and without blame for the Day of the Messiah, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Yeshua the Messiah — to the glory and praise of God.

Love in Yeshua,

  1. I stand with Israel, as it is written in the Scriptures that she is central and key in God’s plan. The gifts and calling of the Jews to be a light to the nations, a people of praise, and to carry God’s Name are IRREVOCABLE.

NO authority can cancel this except God–and He won’t, as otherwise the scripture would be broken. Scripture cannot be broken. Any Jew who obeys God obeys Yeshua and follows Him.

    God bless you , Cynthia.

    • Hi Gordon,

Thanks for the insight and for reminding us that the calling of the Jews/Israel is irrevocable. You are absolutely correct! I am amazed how Christians quote that word by Paul and yet forget that the good apostle was actually referring to the Jews. It’s encouraging to know that our calling is irrevocable based on that word, but how disappointing when the whole context is left out. Romans 9-11 is Paul’s lengthy defense of his brothers, the Jews, and a clear reminder to the gentile believers of our own place in the olive tree.

      Romans 11:28-32
28 With respect to the Good News they are hated for your sake. But with respect to being chosen they are loved for the Patriarchs’ sake, 29 for God’s free gifts and his calling are irrevocable. 30 Just as you yourselves were disobedient to God before but have received mercy now because of Isra’el’s disobedience; 31 so also Isra’el has been disobedient now, so that by your showing them the same mercy that God has shown you, they too may now receive God’s mercy. 32 For God has shut up all mankind together in disobedience, in order that he might show mercy to all.

Praise God for His irrevocable gifts and calling! God bless, brother.

  2. Hi Cynthia, I know it’s been awhile, but here I am. The Lord would not let me remain silent after reading your post. So I’ll get stuck right in to what He has given me to share. From the 24th verse of Ezekiel 36, we see God describing the precious, undescribable gift He has also extended to us: Salvation in Christ Jesus, the one true Messiah. This will only be for a remnant of the literal Jews. As we can see now many of the people of Israel are still doing exactly as the first part of this chapter describes. They are as corrupt as the gentiles, trusting in the power of man, and the gods of science, medicine, and technology.
How will God bring Jesus to them? The same way He brought salvation to us, only in reverse. He brought Jesus to us through Israel. He will (and is now moving to) bring Yeshua to Israel through us. Is our God not brilliant? Is He not truely the Only Wise God?

I am called to do this. You are called to do this. We will do it as the united body of Christ Jesus(also a remnant). And this is how, the exact same way Jesus did 2,000 years ago. The plan of action is laid out in John, chapter 14. Jesus provoked them to jealousy. So did the early Church,so will we, but even more so, not as haughty replacers, but as fellow sharers of the same grace. Oh, the beauty of this! “And as their hearts turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away…”

Not much time now before the Holy One bursts through those clouds. But God’s timing is perfect, even when working through broken vessels like ours. Especially then, because our weakness is our strength. His strength is perfected in weakness (utter dependancy and inability).
Awhile back the Lord said to me, Israel needs prayer.” i went straight to Psalm 121 (I wrote this before I got to the part where you quoted it). I asked Him, “Do you want me praying this more?” He said, “No.” Which surprised me. “Pray for their salvation.” Salvation leads to that prosperity David speaks of. Ezekiel 36 explains this better than any other place in the Bible.

Thank you, Cynthia, for your sensitivity to the Spirit of our Great Adonai, Cynthia. You are a preparer of hearts. You are a prop-setter on God’s great prophecy stage, so that every Word He has spoken comes about exactly as it is spoken.

    Blessings and prayers, Pauli x

  3. Dear Cynthia,
You bring up a very interesting point here: “For the Jews, that they will recognize Yeshua as the Messiah; and for the gentiles, that we will see and understand that our own place in His family is not to replace them but to provoke them to jealousy so that they will see their Messiah through us.”

The false Christian church has done a wonderful job of making a mess of the Bible and Scriptures, by practicing such pagan holidays a Christmas and Easter among many other things. I can see how today’s Jewish people would NOT want to have anything to do with Christianity.

Here’s my question and this will be the third time I’ve asked to various folks. So far, no one has been able to answer my question, so I am hoping you will be able to help.

In trying to understand Romans 11 (especially verses 28-32) , are these verses saying that all Jewish people will be saved? What about those Jewish people that died say, ten years ago who 1. may have not heard the gospel or 2. rejected Christ as Savior.

Thank you for your time and consideration on this question.

    • Hi Diedre, all:

The verse in romans says all Israel will be saved. This applies to the remnant of Israel during Jacob’s Trouble (the Tribul;ation) when Zech 12-14 are fulfilled. 2/3 of Israel will DIE during that time. The last third will have believed. I think they repent after they mourn, and the 2/3 die around or after that repentance. It is a national repentance of Israel. See Romans 9-1 1 and Zech 12-14.

      God bless you.

      -Gordon Wood

    • (continued…)

Any Jew who believes in and follows Yeshua (Jesus) as his Messiah and savior will be saved, whether during the national repentance, before it or after it.

There is no other name by which men may be saved. From the time Jesus died on the cross, anyone, Jewish or otherwise, dying without believing in Jesus and following him (in [probably imperfect] obedience,) will suffer the eternal second death in the eternal lake of fire. Those dying before that had faith reckoned to them as righteousness, and it is likely that they believed in and followed Jesus when he preached to the spirits in prison.

      God bless you,

      -Gordon Wood

  4. again a timely article. Israel beloved for the sake of the fathers. also ezekiel 39 the last parts show some great things too.
rev 12 the last parts show the enemy and those who are ensnared to him doing the things we see even now but will be worse then.

Sometimes I think that many (supposed christians I don’t know they say they are) are angry at the failing/perishing world, their world, as shown through their anger and blaming etc, and so try and find someone to blame..but the issue is there tied to this world, it’s theirs and their focus..that’s a bad thing to be a believer? yet still be tied to this world which perishes along with the lusts thereof.

    • It is very easy to be angry at, or bitter about the fallen world. Anyone who loves Jesus is hurt and grieved at the world around him because Jesus is too.

The anger and bitterness are a stumbling through a lack of faith and hope, which that believer must repent of as he matures In his faith and hope.

Been there, doing that. Working on it; that’s a battle with the deceiver: believe the Bible or what you see? Learn to believe the Bible and act on it, no matter what

      God bless you,
      -a not-so-perfect believer,

      -Gordon Wood

      • Hi and God bless you too.
Yeah I used to be more angry at the things happening but always felt not right about being that way so it was time to figure out what and why.
Besides the many directions on grace and love and treating others and many more It helped me to study the early church’s persecutions (pre-RCC persecutions) both biblically and historically and do the -put yourself in their shoes- scenario, see how they acted and how would I act and how/why was I acting this way now. Hebrews 10 has a very short verse that sums up alot, they accepted joyfully the spoiling of their goods..imagine that, an eye opener, and finishes with knowing their better and true hope. Then I studied the coming times and based also on the past times but even worse and did the -put yourself in that coming time, today- and how would I act. Add in many others, one could be paul when jailed..I’m sure the enemy would be telling him, you know your neighbors have heard and are even now raiding your house, but hey, the authorities are even now classing you a criminal and making legal writ to seize all your stuff and etc..and so on, but yet paul praised God, and others did the same, taking that to the future, in the fema camp where those who refuse the mark and worship go and all your stuff is gone and soon they’ll march you to the gallows..what will be of importance then, what is the Hope and more etc? Only Christ, as He should be.
While some may line the fence and hurl abuse at the guards for all that’s happened others will be encouraging people in Christ and praising God huh.
..but that’s for that coming day, yet that deep and hands on practical hope in Christ is the good why not have that today, why wait til the gallows camp to have that.
I guess that shows I’m not a pre-tribber either huh lol, a pre-wrath or even the end either way, He is strong enough so we can be too.

So all stuff of life and my life is already Him, and as shown in 1st cor and elsewhere but now more deeply applied, and I have joy and hope :)) and as the world rushes downwards I see so much daily that it’s truly not my world, but I belong to Christ and His kingdom is not of this world. And am not angry anymore.

I care about people, I have loved ones unsaved, and loved ones outside but so act towards strangers the same as loved ones, with grace and truth to them. And but God has it all in His hands, I can only strive to do what He leads me to do, I can’t make people believe, but can seed and water..there is much to do, the word of God will be fulfilled so everythings a done deal, but many/any can be saved.
I can also pray for leaders now, found it harder to do before..their people too ensnared as any can be when outside of Christ and in need of Christ just as we all were when outside, would that they be saved and granted repentance.

so basically I found ropes tied to the world and cut those ropes away and retied only to Christ and it continues still.
Also some wonder if parts/portions of some nations will repent/be good places..that’s a hope, but I can’t act on a maybe hope, the true hope is Christ and the word and can be banked on, the maybe/could be hope of maybe some city will be a safe place is one of those what if’s/maybe’s and I can’t put my faith/hope in that what if, but sure it would be nice, but trust is in Christ.
