Philippines, nation of idolatry, hear the Word of the Lord!

Update January 14, 2014

PNoy Declares January 20 National Day of Prayer and Solidarity

MANILA, Philippines – Following the series of calamities that tested the country’s resilience last year, President Benigno Aquino III has declared January 20 as National Day of Prayer and Solidarity…

…”Our unbreakable spirit and ability to recover find root in our firm belief in a benevolent God who has the perfect plan for all of us. These tragedies tell us that despite all our efforts, we are indeed powerless without God,” the President added.

It is very encouraging to hear the highest official of the land, the President of the Philippines, acknowledge that without God the nation is indeed powerless. I pray that everyone will take heed of his call to prayer. I pray that this day of national prayer be done according to His will. I pray that He will open the eyes of the Filipinos to give up false godliness and idolatry as we humble ourselves as a nation before Him. I pray that the True Church will take the lead in putting into action the Word of the Lord in 2 Chronicles 7:14 quoted twice in this article.

For all the readers and followers of this blog, please pray for the Philippines; and I thank everyone who is doing so, from the depths of my heart. The Lord bless and keep us all!

==============================================================================

My heart is heavy today as I see the ongoing Feast of the Black Nazarene on TV.  Since last week I have been praying for the Philippines as the pagan and idolatrous feast days are here again for another year. It is heartbreaking that majority of the Filipinos are blind about what they are doing for the religious idols of this nation. We have experienced real devastating calamities last year topped by Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) which left many places in Eastern Visayas in dire conditions to this day; yet as a nation, we have not awakened to the truth about our spiritual condition before the eyes of the Almighty.

As it Happens: Feast of the Black Nazarene

While the Filipinos blindly or ignorantly think that doing these religious feasts are pleasing God as they parade the idols they so believe as the image of God, the truth is that they are actually hurting Him. My dream on January 12, 2012 showed how such idolatry looks like in the spirit. This is what I wrote of the dream in “My Encounters with the Lord:”

On January 12, 2012, I dreamed of the Lord in His human form. I was with Him, singing praises to Him while He watched and listened intently. I remember singing 3 songs to Him. When I sang “He is Exalted,” His expression changed. His meek human eyes transformed into the fierce eyes of a lion. Then I thought, “Truly, He is the Lion of Judah.” Then the Lord hugged me. Oh, what a blessing I felt!

In another scene, I saw the Lord lying in an enclosed carriage. His head was bleeding profusely from the crown which was the crown of the “Sto. Nino.”

Note: The Sinulog Festival in Cebu which features the Sto. Nino is on the third Sunday of this month.

This picture below is similar to what I saw in the dream except that instead of a graven image, the Lord Jesus was Himself inside the carriage. He was very much alive and bleeding because of the crown stuck upon His head.

The Retovado Review: Good Friday, Bago City, Negros Occidental

Idolatry is not only abominable to God; it is deeply hurting Him. It is like killing Him over and over or making Him dead as I felt in the dream while He’s actually alive. My heart aches as I recall the sobering scene in my dream. People were so insensitive and blind that they didn’t seem to see what I witnessed of the Lord inside the encased carriage. Filipinos wake up! You are not pleasing Him nor worshiping Him with such abomination of parading the graven images and going crazy over those idols as if they truly can do you good. See for yourself what God says of graven images and bowing to them.

The first 3 commandments (Exodus 20:2-7) that God Himself wrote on stone tablets and handed to Moses are centered about who He is and how men should honor Him; and what He does to those who violate those commands. Doing those things are in fact hatred towards God.

Exodus 20

And God spake all these words, saying,

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Sadly, the Roman Catholic Church altered the commandments of God significantly by removing the second commandment (Exodus 20:4-6) that speaks against making and bowing to a graven image of any likeness either in heaven above or on earth below. The unsuspecting masses believe that there is nothing wrong with the 10 Commandments as they remain 10 in the RCC version. They did it by summarizing and splitting the last commandment in two parts namely:

“Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife;

Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s goods.

God is visiting the iniquities of the Filipinos from generation to generation. It is a never-ending cycle of curse until we renounce this sin of idolatry and learn to worship only Him. The article I wrote after the Super Storm in November last year spoke of more disasters coming to this nation. After then, the Lord gave me more dreams of judgment against this nation of religious shrines and idols. I dreamed of another earthquake with an ensuing tsunami. I dreamed twice of great floods, one hits  Visayas and the other Metro Manila; particularly submerged was Quezon City especially around Sto. Domingo Church. At another time in my prayer, I saw Robinson’s Galleria and the Edsa Shrine falling from a strong earthquake. On December 10 last year, around lunchtime, I had a vivid dream of civil unrest suggesting Makati area and spreading to different parts of Metro Manila. In that dream, while the President was appealing to the public to be calm as the situation was already under control, another explosion was heard somewhere.

Will these dreams and visions come to pass? I pray that they will not. And here’s what the Lord gave me that He may not bring judgments in this nation. On Dec. 18, 2013 I woke up around 4:00 a.m. with this message:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

But who are the people of God that He wants to come to Him? The Christian Church!

It is easy to point fingers to the Roman Catholics whose idols are very visible; and never mind their way of life because we know that righteousness without Christ is as filthy as rags (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 10:3). But what about the so-called Christian Church? The Lord also sees idolatry, worldliness and indecency within the Christian Church. This is how the Lord showed me the spiritual sickness of the Church.

On February 13, 2011, I dreamed that I was a bride; but my unknown groom and I could not move from where we were as the highway was so filthy. Black and foul mud filled the huge highway. The following day I dreamed of two brides again. They were my roommates who were also sisters. The older bride was wearing an indecent gown that exposes some flesh which is the exact opposite of her actual wedding dress when she got married. The younger bride’s gown looked wholesome but she was immersed in herself as she listened to the music on the radio. The song was expressing grief over the unfairness of life and sounded very worldly. As the song ended I heard the DJ said, “Why not just commit suicide?”

Since I was not yet adept to prophetic dreams, I could not make sense of these dreams about “brides.” I prayed for understanding and the Lord answered and woke me up not many days later with this message, “The bride is the Church.”

In another unforgettable dream sometime in 2012, I was caught between going to the Church uphill or the Church on the plain. This Church on the plain is a real church in Quezon City. I was in a park on a plateau  in between; I looked up to the one uphill and saw no one there. I looked down on the Church below and saw many going that way. I decided to go where people streamed. As I stood on the doorway I immediately noticed the disarray contrary to how this church appears in reality. The youth whom I know in reality as highly disciplined especially during worship, were very unruly and noisy. They were eating and laughing in the kitchen which was separated only by a curtain from the worship hall. The congregation which is also normally well-mannered and formally dressed in reality, appeared the opposite in the dream. Some where on walking shorts and slippers, some in their house dress and some barefoot. I realized that I too was barefoot as in a hurry I forgot my sandals in the park. I ran outside to go back and get my sandals; and I almost stumbled as I was going to step on the graven idols buried on the stone pavement just enough to conceal them from the surface. I stopped to look at the idols and I was aghast.

In fairness with this Church in Quezon City, the Lord revealed that this situation runs rampant in many churches in the Philippines, both big and small ones.

My dream of the two brides above had a second scene just as my dream of myself as a bride had another scene; but I will reserve that part for another article which speaks of the judgment that begins in the House of God. Meanwhile, I appeal to the Church, consider your ways and remember your first love. We cannot help those who are lost in religious idolatry and other manners of ungodliness in this nation unless we live up to our calling as the righteous and holy “Bride of Christ.” The fate of our nation, the Philippines, depends on us, the people of God. Hear His word today!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land!

With love in Christ Jesus,

Cynthia

The Good Things About Christmas

image

http://www.antiochian.org/node/16840

Christmas is a topic that is highly contested in the Body of Christ. Some are convinced it is not for the Church to join in the celebration of the world’s most popular holiday that is pagan in origin while others believe that celebrating the holiday with the right focus and right attitude is good and acceptable. I, personally, do not promote the commercialism of Christmas nor the greediness and selfishness and worldliness that come with it, but I do believe that the holiday has some good things about it. And this article is not intended to argue who is right or wrong but merely to share what I have seen as the good things that we can thank and praise God for because of the holiday. I also believe that God, in His sovereignty, can always do something good out of the bad things we humans do if we are sensitive to His leading and not put Him in a box to fit our very limited views. Another important thing I want to point out is that while the date and the world’s manner of celebrating the occasion are of pagan origin, let it be emphasized that the birth of the Saviour which became the popular story called Christmas is not pagan. It is heavenly and Biblical.

Christmas to me has always been a happy time of the year because it is the most intimate occasion for me and my family since childhood. It continues to be so though my siblings and I are all grown up and have our own families as well. This season has become more meaningful and significant because this is the only time of the year when we can gather around our parents and bring our own children to bond with the bigger family. Thus, I am forever grateful to the Father for this opportunity that the season brings.

Honestly though, as I matured in my walk with the Lord I do not anymore bother with the stresses of Christmas especially because the Bible never tells us to celebrate His birth, much more on a pagan holiday’s date. However, regardless of the date of the Saviour’s birth, we know that some two thousand years ago the Lord Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and grew up and ministered to men and went to die on the cross for our sins and rose again and ascended up to heaven and is coming back very soon. We know that the Christian Nativity is about God and man who came for the lost and without Him is death.

This truth was made clearer to my children and nephews when in Church, the speaker preached the message of the Gospel in light of the occasion fit for the young minds; and the Holy Spirit touched the kids that deeper understanding came upon them. The youngest ones described the tears they could not control as they prayed the prayer of repentance and acceptance of the Lord Jesus into their lives. The teens also described their experiences. My son who received Jesus while he was around 7 years old described an unusual burning sensation that started from his feet up to his head that he didn’t want to end and begged of the Lord for more of Him. My oldest nephew went on his knees when he could not resist the heavy anointing of the Holy Spirit for the first time in his young Christian life. This anointing was also felt by the younger nephew that he just put his hand on his eyes to hide the tears and steadied himself as he was trembling in the manifest presence of God. All these happened on Christmas Eve.

After the service they went caroling around the neighborhood, singing songs only that speak the Truth and distributing food and gifts to the less fortunate. This is unusual to them because the Filipino practice, even of the many Christian churches here in the country, caroling is a means for fund-raising. This practice often burdens the people and cause them to turn their lights off to avoid the carolers. So, this different way of caroling made the children’s and the grown-ups’ Christmas, a most unforgettable one as they felt the joy of giving instead of receiving; and at the crucial time of having just received from the Father what they call the most wonderful experience with Him. To those who received from the carolers, the love of God which is the reason for His coming into this world and dwelling among men became real in a most unexpected way. The message of Christmas was delivered with such power and clarity.

So, while we shun the pagan practices of the occasion, let us rejoice with those who, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, celebrate the season as an opportunity to bring glory to His name and reach out to the world with His love instead of scorn. And yes, the Church had Christmas party and the children got goodies and played games to enjoy.
Happy holidays to all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

In His love,

Cynthia

A Message for the Filipinos: They Who Worship Mary

Update February 8, 2013

Please see at the end of this article what the Lord gave me this morning concerning the queen of heaven.

==============================================================================

Writing and sharing this message is very difficult. I had this prophetic dream on August 12, 2012 but it was only recently that I felt strongly to write about it. My 12-year old son said to me when I told him of my dilemma, “Mommy, do you rather fear man than God?” I assured him that, of course, I fear God than man. I am not afraid or worried of people’s opinion for I am not writing to be appreciated or approved. I am writing to tell and warn about the things that are leading people astray, away from the truth, away from God. It is that the message in this dream is very sobering that kept me from writing which is actually wrong. I just thank the Father that He is patient with me and didn’t punish me for not immediately sharing the message; instead in my prayer this morning the Holy Spirit again reminded me gently to write and send the message out, so here I am, sharing this revelation with you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_devotions

For those who are sincere in their devotion to Mary, the message is difficult to swallow yet it is the truth so I pray that this will open your eyes and cause you to consider seriously the terrible deception that you are in. I would like to tell the readers especially Filipinos, that I am not speaking out of ignorance for I was once in your shoes before I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ with my whole family in 1981. As a testimony, I came from a very religious family. My maternal great great grandfather was a very devoted and religious Church singer. Such religiosity was passed on to us and I was the most religious among my siblings. I was a member of the Legion of Mary at an early age and I intended to take my mother’s unfulfilled vow to follow the Lady of Lourdes in due time. I recited the Novena as I saw my mother doing; and as early as I can remember I was trained to lead the Rosary at home which we faithfully did everyday. My sister and I always joined the “Flores de Mayo” every year. All these religious activities continued on until things changed. Please see my testimony here: https://thetrumpetsound.wordpress.com/new-life/

My calling the dream a revelation is not because I didn’t know of the deception before, rather it is because God called my attention to this particular issue that affects people’s eternal destiny so that they will be warned and avoid the consequences. Without the dream I would have contented myself to simply keep on praying and interceding about the matter, leaving it up to Him to show to the people what they are doing wrong and following erroneously. As mentioned I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in 1981 but I could only remember directly telling one friend about the wrong belief of following and worshiping Mary. She listened because she was my best friend. I have witnessed for the Lord many times but I avoided touching the topic unless asked, for I know how sensitive it is and how die-hard the Roman Catholics are to their belief as again, I was once in that situation. Even as I was in grade school I would stand up to defend my ‘erroneous belief’ against those who speak negatively even if they might have the good intention. I would take any comment contrary to my belief as personal attack and an insult and blasphemy to God for I used to be so convinced that worshiping Mary is doing honor and favor to God and synonymous to worshiping God Himself. I understand fully well what Marian devotion means. I know its defenses and alibis. I was once deceived into believing that this is right and God is in it. Unconsciously I believed Mary was a deity like God and equal with Him and so worshiping her was right until He opened my eyes. My sharing this dream to you is to open your eyes that to worship Mary is nothing but IDOLATRY, an ABOMINATION which God so strongly condemns.

The Dream

In the early morning of August 12 last year, I dreamed that my brother and I were in the living room on the second floor of a two storey house. Suddenly I felt a very strong evil presence and instantly knew that the devil was there. On the left corner of the living room I saw a moving slimy green thing on the wall which I knew was the devil. On the floor in the other end of the living room  was fire coming from below that I knew was hell. Then I knew that the devil would spew venom with his deceptive words to confuse my brother so I told him that we must leave at once. My brother hesitated, didn’t quite understand until the devil laughed aloud. I could see the confusion on my brother’s face as he heard the voice, but as if coming out of spell, he quickly followed me when he heard me calling out to him and saw me running downstairs. I could hear the devil still laughing and heard clearly what he said as we were going out of the house into the street. He was laughing, boasting of his deception. He said in a loud voice, loud enough for us to hear that those people in the big house across the street are actually deceived and are all going to hell with him. I saw the house across the street filled with people both on the second and ground floors, spilling over to the front yard while many more were walking towards the house. I knew what they were doing. They were Marian devotees and were there to worship and pray to Mary. As I saw them I felt a very deep sadness in my heart as I could still hear the devil laughing at those people who so believed that they were doing God favor for worshiping and praying to Mary. Those people were my countrymen. They were Filipinos.

As in the dream, I feel such deep sadness for the people who so believe that devotion to Mary is devotion to God. Mary was the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ when He came in the flesh. She was a chosen vessel, yes, favored among women as the Angel announced and greeted her. The Christians, true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ don’t deny the importance of her role in rearing up the Messiah when He was growing up as a man. We respect Mary as we also respect the Lord’s disciples and apostles in the Bible, but we do not esteem and honor her as we esteem and honor God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, for doing so is making her equal with God which she is not. She was as human as we all are. She was the Lord’s servant as the disciples and apostles were, and as we are now. If Mary were to come, she would certainly rebuke everyone who bows to her as the Angel in Revelations rebuked John, as Peter rebuked the man who bowed to him when he was healed through Peter in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Mary is with the Father now just as all the disciples, the apostles and all the believers in Jesus Christ who have died. She’s safe in God’s presence but those who died embracing the wrong belief about her are in hell.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Mary is the queen of heaven. True, the Bible mentions the queen of heaven but in the passage, the queen of heaven is a false deity which the Lord God condemned the people of Israel for worshiping. The Catholic Bible even titled the passage in Jeremiah 44, “Denunciation of Persistent Idolatry.”

Jeremiah 44 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah%2044&version=RSVCE)

Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

Denunciation of Persistent Idolatry

44 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews that dwelt in the land of Egypt, at Migdol, at Tah′panhes, at Memphis, and in the land of Pathros, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the evil that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them, because of the wickedness which they committed, provoking me to anger, in that they went to burn incense and serve other gods that they knew not, neither they, nor you, nor your fathers. Yet I persistently sent to you all my servants the prophets, saying, ‘Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate!’ But they did not listen or incline their ear, to turn from their wickedness and burn no incense to other gods. Therefore my wrath and my anger were poured forth and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they became a waste and a desolation, as at this day. And now thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil against yourselves, to cut off from you man and woman, infant and child, from the midst of Judah, leaving you no remnant? Why do you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have come to live, that you may be cut off and become a curse and a taunt among all the nations of the earth? Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 10 They have not humbled themselves even to this day, nor have they feared, nor walked in my law and my statutes which I set before you and before your fathers.

11 “Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, to cut off all Judah. 12 I will take the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to come to the land of Egypt to live, and they shall all be consumed; in the land of Egypt they shall fall; by the sword and by famine they shall be consumed; from the least to the greatest, they shall die by the sword and by famine; and they shall become an execration, a horror, a curse, and a taunt. 13 I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, 14 so that none of the remnant of Judah who have come to live in the land of Egypt shall escape or survive or return to the land of Judah, to which they desire to return to dwell there; for they shall not return, except some fugitives.”

15 Then all the men who knew that their wives had offered incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, all the people who dwelt in Pathros in the land of Egypt, answered Jeremiah: 16 “As for the word which you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you. 17 But we will do everything that we have vowed, burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out libations to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no evil. 18 But since we left off burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out libations to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.” 19 And the women said, “When we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out libations to her, was it without our husbands’ approval that we made cakes for her bearing her image and poured out libations to her?”

20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, men and women, all the people who had given him this answer: 21 “As for the incense that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember it? Did it not come into his mind? 22 The Lord could no longer bear your evil doings and the abominations which you committed; therefore your land has become a desolation and a waste and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day. 23 It is because you burned incense, and because you sinned against the Lord and did not obey the voice of the Lord or walk in his law and in his statutes and in his testimonies, that this evil has befallen you, as at this day.”

24 Jeremiah said to all the people and all the women, “Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who are in the land of Egypt, 25 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out libations to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows! 26 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, that my name shall no more be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, ‘As the Lord God lives.’ 27 Behold, I am watching over them for evil and not for good; all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end of them. 28 And those who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who came to the land of Egypt to live, shall know whose word will stand, mine or theirs. 29 This shall be the sign to you, says the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, in order that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for evil: 30 Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I gave Zedeki′ah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrez′zar king of Babylon, who was his enemy and sought his life.”

Mary was a woman of God. She loved and feared Him, otherwise, she would not be chosen for the role of conceiving and giving birth to the Lord Jesus Christ. She knew God condemns the worship of the queen of heaven and she would have nothing to do with it, much more put herself into that abominable position. She would not turn herself into a deity nor would allow anyone to attribute it to her if she only could tell us now. She is not coming, however, nor will she appear to anyone to refute the false teaching about her for that is the role of the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. All truth is found in the Lord Jesus only, and only in accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior will you understand this thing.

I pray then that as you read this article, may you welcome the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and let Him speak to you and convict you and cause you to see and understand the truth. Remember what God says to the Israelites in Exodus 20:1-6 which He is also saying to us who believe and say that He alone is God. The verses below are from the Catholic Edition:

Exodus 20:1-6 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%2020&version=RSVCE)

And God spoke all these words, saying,“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.“You shall have no other gods before me.“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Much love in Christ Jesus,

Cynthia

UPDATE:

Around 3:00 a.m. this morning the Lord woke me up with this message: “Queen Semiramis” strongly impressing to me the queen of heaven spoken of in Jeremiah 44 as quoted in this article. A few hours later during a quick nap I dreamed reading of an article about Semiramis then suddenly woke up to this: “Mary, the servant of God is not the queen of heaven but the abominable Semiramis.”

Semiramis was the wife of Nimrod, the world’s first powerful leader after the flood. He was the great grandson of Noah by his son Ham. I won’t go on discussing the story of Nimrod and Semiramis for there are books and so many articles written about them across the internet. Suffice it to say the she was the wicked queen of Babylon from whom proceeded all kinds of abominable religious practices, turning herself into a goddess and her son/husband Nimrod into a god. This abomination evolved and became the world’s religious foundation seeping through different cultures taking on different names for these false deities. Here is one video about Semiramis:

Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying. You are worshiping not Mary but the wicked queen of Babylon Semiramis who called herself the queen of heaven. Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ is not the queen of heaven, never will she be and never will there be queen of heaven.

A Message for Manny Pacquiao and the Filipinos: Defeat is the Way to Victory!

After writing this article yesterday, I considered putting off publishing it as I thought it might not really be necessary. But as I saw the news last night and after hearing my mother’s account of what transpired in school where she’s a professor, and the children’s own account of what was happening in their own school, I realized that the Lord’s message which He gave me the other night would have to go out.

The other night in the aftermath of Manny Pacquiao’s bout with Juan Manuel Marquez, the Lord gave me a message confirming what I have suspected as the reason for the great Filipino boxer’s defeat.

I was already drifting to sleep just after I prayed when the Lord stirred me awake as I heard “Manny Pacquiao” and spontaneously saw the end of the fight earlier in the day. Before I could even process the thought I began to hear an old song in my native dialect which I could only remember as one from the 70’s. As soon as I heard the song, I quickly forgot it but remembered the name of the artist. Tried as I might to recall the song even as I am writing this, I could not. So I thought that the message was in the name of the artist. His name is Victor Wood. While I was pondering on the connection between Manny Pacquiao and the name Victor Wood, I saw my uncle and my husband quickly and had their names on my lips; my uncle is Suceso and my husband is Joseph. Then I heard in my spirit, “The message is in the names.” I wrote down the names and prayed and went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I had this message in my heart:

Manny Pacquiao is a victor of something made of wood; his victories that made him an icon of success in this world were all made of wood and have no eternal value and won’t stand when tested with fire. His true success is not in the “boxing titles and belts” that he earned. True success will come by the way of the pit in the same manner that Joseph earned his. Worldly defeat is spiritual victory for him who loves God and is called for His purpose. Down at the feet of Jesus is the way up in the Kingdom of the Father of which he became a citizen when he made Him his Lord and Savior. As he chose to follow the Lord the great achievements he has earned now count for nothing in view of what the Lord has given him – eternal life. As he surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus he must take up his cross and go where the Shepherd leads him, do what the Master says he must do. He must decrease as the Lord Jesus Christ increases in his life.

1 Corinthians 3:12-15

12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Luke 9:23-25

23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,[a] and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Pacquiao congratulates Marquez, says he’ll be back next year

Manny Pacquiao’s defeat by knockout stunned the world especially the Philippines. Although the boxer graciously accepted his defeat, the Filipinos particularly the religious Roman Catholics, could hardly forget and let go. They were quick to condemn including his devout mother that his loss was due to his ”change of religion.” Wikipedia was also quick to update to include this story:

“Pacquiao was a devout Roman Catholic.[16] Within the ring, he frequently makes the sign of the cross and every time he comes back from a successful fight abroad, he attends a thanksgiving Mass in Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila to kneel and pray. Following his defeat by Juan Manuel Márquez, his mother condemned him leaving the Catholic church. Pastor Jeric Soriano, Pacquiao’s spiritual adviser, comes from the Alabang New Life Christian Center in Muntinlupa. [17]” (See here).

The great boxer lost two games in a row this year, first with Timothy Bradley, then this match with Juan Manuel Marquez.

According to my father’s story, (he was attending my uncle’s birthday party during the fight) when Manny fell, one relative quickly commented that Manny’s defeat was bad karma because of his change of faith, from being a Roman Catholic to being ‘born-again.’ Another relative butted in that it isn’t right to leave the religion which we received from our ancestors. A news anchor said  that he observed that in Manny’s two latest fights he no longer said the rosary and didn’t do the sign of the cross and so that could be the reason for the defeat. This story continues that perhaps his defeat was because he displeased God for changing his religion. And as I mentioned above, my mother heard similar comments in school among students and teachers. They considered Manny Pacquiao as one deserving the loss as punishment for his leaving the Roman Catholic Church. My children and nephews came home from school with their own stories about the same comments among grade school kids and teachers. My son answered a comment on Facebook that it was the Lord’s will and not punishment because He has better plans for Manny who is now a ‘born-again Christian.’

I believe it is for this reason that the Father gave me the message above. As a former Roman Catholic myself and now a believer and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am convinced that it was the Father’s will that Manny would be defeated for His good reason and purpose, as it was also the Father’s will that he won all those victories making him the most awarded boxer ever.

Those who are watching Manny Pacquiao’s activities cannot fail to see that he is praying and worshiping, reading the Bible and sharing his faith. So, the connection made between his new faith and his boxing performances has valid ground. The interpretation, however, is not correct.

Manny Pacquiao didn’t find a new religion. What he found or what found Him is the reality of the Savior Jesus. What he received is not religion but the person, the Lord Jesus Christ who gave His life for the world that they who receive Him will have eternal life.

John 3:16-19

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Manny Pacquiao’s loss because he turned his life unto the Lord Jesus is not meant to harm him but to build him up inwardly; to mold him to make him fit for the Kingdom. His defeat in the Ring in the full view of the world is spiritual victory for the Lord Jesus Christ in Manny’s life. The way of success in God’s Kingdom is the way of the cross of the Messiah. The devil thought that he defeated the Lord Jesus when He was crucified only to be shocked when the great King rose from the dead and destroyed his stronghold in the lives of many including Manny Pacquiao, who received and put their trust in Him.  The Lord is breaking the great boxer through defeats in the thing that made him great, rich and famous in this world that he will be conformed into the likeness of his Savior and Lord to whom he gave his life. The brokenness is to make him great in God’s eyes that he will be fit for the higher call, higher task of being a witness for the Lord Jesus to the lost world. To be great in God’s Kingdom is to be nothing in and for this world.

Manny Pacquiao’s first defeat this year was against Timothy Bradley. Though the result could be gleaned as incidental as it was controversial, I believe that in the spiritual realm it was not; and the boxer’s reaction on the controversial result of his fight with Bradley was notable and highly commendable. The world saw the inner resolve which Manny Pacquiao demonstrated in spite of the adverse reaction of the crowd as the result was announced. In the same way he demonstrated such gentleness of attitude in the wake of his loss with Juan Manuel Marquez. This character that Manny Pacquiao has manifested stands as witness to the inner peace he has found in his  Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He has actually given a powerful testimony to the world that he is not only a boxing champion who experienced defeat, but a real champion for the Lord for not becoming bitter and resentful over the loss of a worldly crown. Taken from the above news link, this is what Manny was quoted saying:

“First and foremost I would like to thank God for keeping Juan Manuel Marquez and me safe during our fight on Saturday night. I want to congratulate Juan Manuel. I have no excuses. It was a good fight and he deserved the victory. I think boxing fans who watched us were winners, too.

“To all my fans, I would like to thank you for your prayers and assure you that I am fine. I am looking forward to a nice rest and then I will be back to fight. On behalf of Jinkee and our family we would like to wish everyone a joyous Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.”

For Manny Pacquiao

You have stood the test though it was not easy. You must keep standing in spite of the fall and the negative rumors in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach.  You are one of those whom the Lord has chosen to arise in these last days to be a powerful witness for Him to bring many to the Kingdom. The Father may require you to lay down all your crowns for Him for the task that He has determined for you to do.  You must be ready and willing to give up the earthly crowns for the heavenly and eternal crowns which are far better than what you already have. Please note that your name Emmanuel is by no means an accident.

Jeremiah 29:11-12

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

Love in Yeshua,

Cynthia
